Ingredients
  • 2 cups water
  • ¾-inch piece ginger root or ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¾-inch piece fresh turmeric or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Pinch black pepper (omit if using fresh turmeric)
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the ginger, turmeric, and pepper (if using), and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a mug.
  4. Stir in the honey and lemon.
