Ginger Turmeric Healing Detox Tea

- 2 cups water
- ¾-inch piece ginger root or ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¾-inch piece fresh turmeric or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- Pinch black pepper (omit if using fresh turmeric)
- 1 tablespoon honey, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the ginger, turmeric, and pepper (if using), and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a mug.
- Stir in the honey and lemon.
