Alisa's Modification Option: Line the pan with parchment paper - do not grease it. Reduce the oil to ¼ cup, substitute ½ cup
aquafaba (liquid from canned chickpeas or white beans) for the milk beverage, increase the flour to 1¼ cups, and increase the baking powder to ¾ teaspoon. Let cool completely in the pan, then cut into small squares or rectangles, no more than 2 inches. When ready to serve, lift the parchment paper out with the bars. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer (they are delicious straight out of the freezer!). The
