Dairy-Free Crockpot Hot Chocolate

This recipe is adapted from Stephanie O'Dea's Peppermint Hot Chocolate.
Serves: About 10 to 12 servings
  1. Use a 4-quart slow cooker.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients in the stoneware and stir with a whisk.
  3. Add the chocolate syrup.
  4. Add water a cup at a time and stir well.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, or until the powdered ingredients are dissolved and the liquid is completely hot.
  6. Stir again with the whisk.
  7. Serve with marshmallows and/or candy canes.
  8. If guests serve themselves, keep the pot on low with the lid off, and provide a ladle.
