“Buttermilk” Biscuits

Serves: 14 biscuits
  1. Sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening until the size of large peas.
  3. Add “yogurt” and stir until ball is formed.
  4. Turn onto floured board and knead lightly.
  5. Roll dough to ½-inch thickness.
  6. Cut into 2-1/2-inch circles.
  7. Place in greased pan slightly touching.
  8. Bake at 450° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
