Serves: 10 servings
Ingredients
Apple Filling:
  • 5 medium Gala apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar (see note below)
  • ¼ cup all-purpose dairy-free baking mix (see post above)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Oatmeal Cobbler Topping:
Instructions
  1. Grease the inside of slow cooker.
  2. For the Apple Filling, toss the apple slices, brown sugar, baking mix and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Place the mixture in your slow cooker.
  3. For the Cobbler Topping, stir the baking mix, oats, sugars, cinnamon, and salt together in a medium bowl. Cut in the buttery spread or coconut oil with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle the mixture over the Apple Filling.
  4. Cover and cook for 3 hours on high.
Notes
Alisa's Note: As one of our readers noted, the amount of sugar added to the filling is really high. I would personally reduce this to just 2 to 4 tablespoons. You can also reduce the granulated sugar in the topping to 2 to 4 tablespoons, if desired, but I would keep the amount of brown sugar in the topping.
