This naturally dairy-free apple spice bread is a tender treat with a hint of wholesome.

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Flour the bottom of the pan.
  2. Put grated apples and lemon juice in a medium bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Put the flours, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, and salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Make a well in the center.
  4. Add the brown sugar, oil, egg, and vanilla to the apples and stir well to combine.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the well of the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to your prepared loaf pan and even it out.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan before carefully removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Wrap leftovers in plastic wrap and store at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze to enjoy later.
