Sweet earthy pear melds so well with creamy almond in this naturally sweet smoothie. You can double the almond butter for an even creamier shake, or add 1 to 2 tablespoons of your favorite dairy-free protein powder for a extra staying power.

Cuisine: American
Serves: 1 serving
Ingredients
1 ripe frozen banana (medium size), broken into chunks
½ ripe pear
½ cup unsweetened almond milk, or as needed
1 tablespoon almond butter
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus additional for garnish
Pinch salt (omit if using salted almond butter)
Pure stevia extract or maple syrup, to taste
Instructions
Add the banana, pear, almond milk, almond butter, cinnamon, and salt to your blender and puree until smooth.
Taste test, and blend in sweetener to taste, if desired.
Pour in a glass and sprinkle with additional cinnamon, if desired
Notes
Tip: If you're blender isn't powerful, make sure the fresh fruit (pears in this case) is closest to the blades, with the frozen fruit on top. This allows those blades to get moving before they hit the tough stuff.
