  1. The Collagen MD would be the perfect addition to the low-protein smoothies I make. One of my favorites is my Antioxidant A-Pear-Atif.

    Antioxidant A-Pear-Atif

    Juice from 2 small lemons
    Juice from 1 small lime
2 to 3 pears, cored and diced (can leave peel on if desired)
2 bananas (frozen whole bananas or frozen banana slices works great)
1/4 cup fresh cherries (for raw version) (OR 1/4 fresh cranberries OR 1/8 cup (or more) dried cranberries plus ½ cup boiling water, if using dried cranberries for a non-raw version; see notes)
sweetener of choice, in amount desired (honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc.)

Juice lemons and limes over strainer/bowl. Discard peels and seeds.

Peel and or chop pears over a strainer/bowl. You don’t want to miss out on any of that wonderful juice!

If using dried cranberries for a non-raw version of this recipe, soak them in boiling water to soften. Let cool a few minutes.

Add all ingredients to regular or high-speed blender. Blend a few minutes until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Add small amount of water if needed to achieve the right thickness and consistency. Enjoy!

Notes: If not using frozen bananas, you may wish to add some ice before blending.

  2. I’d love to add this to my favorite smoothie combo:

1 banana (peeled and frozen, broken into chunks)
    1 c frozen spinach
    1 c frozen strawberries
    1 serving Collagen MD product
1 c dairy-free milk, such as coconut for low protein (or enough to make the smoothie as thin or as thick to your liking)

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Drink and enjoy!

  3. I don’t currently drink any smoothies, but I DO drink a glass of almond milk every morning for the calcium. So, I might stir the Collagen MD into it as long as it didn’t alter the taste too much!

  5. I can’t say I have any dairy free smoothie recipes but I have looked at those posted by others and I can definitely see trying a few of those.

  6. Allison Gurliacci on

Easiest smoothie ever, freeze a couple of peeled bananas, put them in the blender and add vanilla almond milk and peanut butter. It comes out like peanut butter banana ice cream, you’d never know it was dairy free! absolutely Delicious and so so simple.

  7. I’d be interested in the collagen MD collagen type I and III, as I feel with menopause, it’s something that we women need.

  8. I would love to try it in my chocolate peanut butter smoothie – chocolate almond milk, coconut oil, peanut butter and banana.

  9. Agnetha Foong on

I’m most interested in the Collagen MD® Collagen II Joint Formula as I am a regular runner and often feel the effects of road running in my knees.
