Announcing the First Customer Review Platform for Dairy-Free Products

By Alisa Fleming on January 1, 2020 In The News, News

Some of you have already taken notice since our “soft launch” last year, but we’re ringing in the new year with an official launch of our user review platform. It allows product customers, like you, to leave your own customer review and rating on thousands of dairy-free products. This grassroots effort is intended to help you share and easily discover new products, without breaking the bank.

Announcing the First Customer Review Platform for Dairy-Free Products

Unlike other websites, Go Dairy Free covers dairy-free products specifically. This includes vegan, paleo, allergy-friendly, and “just” dairy-free options. We also note as many helpful details as possible. Beyond reviews, we are busily adding ingredients, availability, additional allergen notes, basic nutrition facts, and more to each product post.

How the Customer Review & Ratings Work

Our platform is very similar to Amazon’s with a summary star rating, followed by a review entry box, and then detailed customer reviews. But, you don’t have to log in or sign up! Just show up on the product page, scroll to the top of the review section (like the one pictured below), and leave your review. Or you can simply enjoy the helpful product information and read the reviews from other customers.

    Expanded Product Categories

We are currently updating each product category page with alphabetical product lists, to help you quickly find a product, followed by a visual guide to the newest product additions. We have completed the update for our dairy alternative categories. You can enjoy those here:

    • Butter
    • Cheese
    • Cream
    • Creamer
    • Ice Cream
    • Ice Cream Novelties
    • Milk
    • Yogurt

We are still updating some category pages, but we do have a full range of dairy-free food categories for you to reference.

Go Dairy Free Rating & Review Policies

For years we have shared our unbiased reviews of dairy-free products on Go Dairy Free. We pride ourselves in honesty and helpfulness, which carries over into our straight-forward customer review policies. We have created this guidance to keep the reviews as helpful as possible for other consumers like you!

Customers Only! Ratings and reviews are for product customers only. This includes paying customers who have tasted the product and unaffiliated potential customers who have sampled the product (such as bloggers, media, or shoppers at store tastings).

Don’t Cheat. If you are affiliated with the brand (employee, family, friend, etc), do not leave a review on that brand’s products. We are strict on this policy, and reserve the right to handle review-stuffing brands as we see fit. Our reviews do help to introduce potential customers to your products, but this is not your promotional platform. It’s a customer information platform. If you are interested in product promotion, contact us directly.

Keep it Clean. Profanity, slander, and brand or product bashing is not permitted. We also ask that your refrain from leaving comments that might make other readers sick to their stomachs. Oh yes, we’ve had to read several of those, and don’t appreciate it around lunch time! There really is no need to get overly graphic; we can all get the gist with more subtle wording.

Taste the Product. Our new listings include ingredients and nutrition facts. Other readers can all see if a product has a lot of sugar, or if it contains some other ingredient that you aren’t fond of. If you have a complaint about a brand’s ingredients, please contact them. This isn’t a food police platform. If you’ve actually purchased and tried the product, then please do leave a review of it!

All reviews go through an unbiased approval process to ensure they fall within our policies. We are not affiliated with any brands, and we do not permit review manipulation of any kind. This platform was created 100% for you! Here is a sample of what the reviews look like (this particular product has been getting lots of raves).

    Continuous Updates

Every week we add new products and update old ones. You can count on us to add the latest releases, but also to continuously supply information for old favorites. If you want us to add a product so that you can review it, feel free to contact us.
