Updated September 2022! Dairy-free yogurt has seen a boom in recent years, and there are now dozens of brands to choose from (we think these are the best). With so much competition, manufacturers are squeezing into new markets, including dairy-free yogurt tubes and pouches! This round-up includes the options currently available, all of which happen to be vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and carrageenan-free, too.
Note: This guide is for informational purposes only. All of the non-dairy products mentioned in this post were dairy-free by ingredients at our time of review. But ingredients and process are subject to change at any time, so always read the packaging. Contact the manufacturer to discuss their production processes if potential allergen cross contamination is a concern for you. All products have some degree of cross-contamination risk, and allergen labels (or lack of) should not be relied on exclusively. Only you can decide what is safe for your needs.
Meet the Dairy-Free Yogurt Tubes & Pouches
Unfortunately, the dairy-free yogurt tube and pouch category has struggled to gain traction – RIP Dairy-Free Go-Gurt, Kite Hill Tubes, and Once Upon a Farm Pouches. So your support to these remaining brands is so important!
Forager Kids Cashewmilk Yogurt Pouches
This nutrition-forward line is made with cashewmilk, coconut cream, and real fruit, and it comes. It’s meant to be mainstream, comparing to many dairy yogurt pouch brands, but is on the healthier side of options. See our Forager Yogurt Pouches Review page for ingredients and nutrition facts.
- Flavors: Strawberry, Berry Berry, Mango
- Pros: This is real yogurt, cultured with six dairy-free live active probiotic strains. It’s also fortified with toddler and kid-sized doses of calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12. Ounce for ounce, it’s lower in added sugars than most, and made with real fruit.
- Cons: They do require refrigeration. Might not be school-safe for some schools since it does contain nuts.
Coconut Collaborative Coconut Yogurt Alternative Pouch (U.K. only)
These adorable pouches have been known as Coco Nutters, but it looks like they are changing the packaging to Coconut Collaborative. Previously, these pouches were cultured with a few types of dairy-free live and active cultures. Online, they are no longer showing cultures in the ingredients.
- Flavors: Strawberry & Banana
- Pros: These kid-friendly pouches are made with coconut milk and real fruit purees, not juices, and have no added sugars.
- Cons: It looks like this is no longer a cultured product.
Nurturme Organic Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative Pouches
These creamy, fruity pouches contain a pure blend of vegetable purees, fruit purees, quinoa milk, coconut cream, and pea protein. They are not only made without added sugars, but also without juice!
- Flavors:Â Purple Carrot + Banana + Berry, Sweet Potato + Mango + Guava
- Pros: These pouches are free of added sugars and top allergens. They are also certified organic and shelf-stable, for a healthy on-the-go option.
- Cons: These are also void of probiotics.
Creamy Dairy-Free Smoothie Pouches
These products aren’t cultured, and aren’t marketed as yogurts. But they are great creamy dairy-free pouch options.
- Sprout Organics Dairy-Free Smoothies
- Stonyfield Organic Dairy-Free Smoothies
- Welch’s Protein Smoothies (contains soy)
Make Your Own Dairy-Free Yogurt Tubes
Homemade dairy-free yogurt tubes are so easy and fun:
- First, pick up some zip-top ice pop tubes or reusable pouches.
- Then, grab your favorite dairy-free yogurt. For convenience, cost savings, and flavor variation, we like to get the larger plain or unsweetened tubs, and blend different fruits into small batches.
- Now, using a funnel, pour your favorite dairy-free yogurt into the tubes. If the yogurt is thick, you might need to shake the funnel and tube a little to get it all in. If using pouches, they usually have a zipper end you can open.
- Zip to close the pouches and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, depending on the yogurt brand and type. The dairy-free yogurt tubes can be frozen, but this might affect both the consistency and the survival of the probiotics.

I love all the new dairy free items are becoming easier to find. We do like the nurturme products.
I haven’t seen all of these yet but love that there are now smaller and lunch friendly dairy free yogurt options. I’m also loving the healthy additives to dairy free yogurt as well since they started out as just being high calorie sugar bombs with not much nutritional value but just a substitue for yogurt.
I couldn’t agree with you more Sarah. I like that we’re transitioning away from the high sugar.
I love how many dairy-free alternatives are on the market! We get coconut collaborative here in Germany but only the pots. I find it a little pricey, but like to splurge once in a while.
That stuff is worth a splurge, I agree!
Wow, these are awesome! Need to look into them for traveling
Yes, a couple of the brands are great for travel!
Can you please provide some brands that are good for long travel.
Those listed above are all current options for pouches and tubes. The Nurtureme is the only shelf-stable one, but it doesn’t contain probiotics.
It is so great that so many options exist…will keep these in mind! Thanks for sharing!
oh, those Ruby Rockets sound GOOD, I want them for ME. 🙂
those DIY zip top pouches are awesome too. thank you for showing us some new options!
Happy to help 🙂
Love the round-up! There are so many options these days and I hate regretting buying something when someone already knows it’s not worth the $$$!
Will you be doing a product review of Oatly soon?
If I can find it! Do they have yogurt tubes, too? I’ll take a look!
