With Expo East in full swing, new dairy-free product releases are the hot news of the week. Here are some highlights of the launches thus far.

    Lifeway Launches Dairy-Free Kefir Beverages

The leading supplier of kefir in the U.S., Lifeway, is expanding its lineup of probiotic beverages to include Plantiful, a new dairy-free, plant-based protein drink. Made from organic and non-GMO pea, hemp and rice protein, the Plantiful blend contains 5 dairy-free kefir cultures for an infusion of gut-healthy probiotics. It will be available in 4 flavors, inclusing the Cocoa Bean and Coconut Cream varieties shown below. Plantiful is an organic, dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free beverage.

Enjoy Life Goes Teal and Sweetens the Deal with New Bars

Enjoy Life, a subsidiary of Mondelez International, announced a complete packaging makeover for its entire product portfolio at Expo East. The new packaging will feature the unofficial shade of food allergy awareness, bright teal. Plus, they are releasing new high-protein Grain & Seed Bars in Banana Caramel, Cranberry Orange, Chocolate Marshmallow, and Maple Sweet Potato flavors. The bars are crafted from sorghum and certified gluten-free oats, and are free of palm oil, gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, and lupin. They’re made in Enjoy Life’s dedicated facility and are Certified Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher, and Halal Certified.

    Kite Hill Mooo-ves Beyond Cheese

Like so many other brands, Kite Hill is seeing the demand for probiotic dairy-free products. So they have launched full lines of almond milk Greek yogurt and drinkable dairy-free yogurt. The new drinkable yogurts contain 1 billion live probiotics per serving and will be sold in four flavors: unsweetened original, vanilla, mango, and berry. The Greek-style yogurt is already hitting shelves and contains a whopping 10 grams of protein per cup. You can find it in black cherry, blueberry, mango, peach, strawberry, vanilla, and plain unsweetened.
