What’s Happening in the Dairy-Free New Year

Happy New Year 2013 - From Go Dairy Free

Alisa Fleming ~ First, I want to thank you for your amazing support of my website and book / ebooks. Many of you may have noticed a bit of a gap since my last book. As it happens, life got in the way for a couple of years. I chose to prioritize loved ones during a difficult time, but everyone is healthier now, and I’m so grateful for what 2012 has brought to myself and my family.

That said, 2013 is already full of so much hope, promise, and tasty food! In addition to the regular recipes, information, and reviews, I have some fantastic things that I will be creating for all of you throughout 2013 …

Two New Dairy-Free Books! – I’m currently working on a dairy-free cookbook that we are planning to release in the spring. I will let you know as soon as it is ready for pre-order. I’ve got a second book release planned for later this year. I’m hopeful that you will love both! In the meantime, please enjoy this website, Go Dairy Free the guide and cookbook, and for those of you who have gluten-free needs, too, Dairy-Free & Gluten-Free (a gigantic ebook!).

Fantastic New Allergic Living Issues – I’ve fully taken on the Senior Editor role at Allergic Living magazine, and we’ve got some other great surprises to announce about the magazine soon. Plus, we already have an awesome line-up of stories and recipes for the 2013 issues. I was so excited to join this magazine as it is top notch in terms of content and beautiful images, which is rare in a niche market like this one. You all know how I love to live on the positive side of “free-from!”

The Dairy-Free Community – We are a few months behind, but I’ve finally got the Dairy-Free Community page up and running. I want a central spot where you can find all of the great dairy-free blogs and resources on the internet. My goal is to populate it this year with some great sites. If you’d like to join the community, send me an email.

New Monthly Columns – We are adding a two new monthly “columns” to Go Dairy Free. Sarah Hatfield will be doing an article each month for Parents of Dairy-Free Kids. The focus will be on family-friendly ideas, helpful tips and information to help parents who have a child with a dairy allergy or intolerance. The second will be our “New Dairy-Free Product Finds” update. This monthly article will include new and new-to-us dairy-free products that we think you might be interested in. If you have any suggestions that you would like to share for either of these new columns, please email us.

I look forward to spending equal time in the kitchen and writing to bring you many great recipes and tons of information in 2013! To keep informed of our new recipes, articles, and cookbooks, sign up for Go Dairy Free Email Updates.

I hope 2013 brings many good things to you and  your family!

  1. Alisa, I am so excited for you and us with all your upcoming endeavors and new happenings!! Very, very cool. You bring the very best to everything you do and oversee and all of us are better for it!

    Happy New Year!

  2. I am so excited about all of this! The new columns both sound great, even for a single girl. Can I still make the “family friendly” recipes? 😉

I may have to gift myself with an Allergic Living subscription, knowing now how awesome it is going to be!

  3. I am very excited to have discovered your website. We just learned that our
17 month old has a milk allergy. Thank you for all of the info, recipes and other resources!
