Blue Mountain Organics has been quietly building their raw, vegan arsenal … Cashew Creamery "Ice Cream," the Agave Bear, the raw bakery treats, Better Than Roasted and Love Raw Foods Nut and Seed Butters, Flour of Life sprouted flours, and now (phew!) new kale Earth Chips. Will anything stop this ever-expanding natural food company? We hope not. But back to those chips …
According to Blue Mountain, the new veggie chips are "Low temperature dehydrated and never fried or baked liked many traditional snacks, Earth Chips are rich in Vitamins A, C and K as well as manganese, iron and calcium. Earth Chips are great for more than just snacking too – crumble them onto salads, stir-frys, rice or soup."
Unlike traditional chips, these are pure greens raw "baked" to a crisp with all natural flavorful ingredients. Thus far they have two varieties, Coconut Curry Kale and Cheezy Kale.
As if the whole raw, vegan thing weren't enough, Earth Chips are certified organic, certified kosher, contain no added oils, are peanut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free (of course), and non-GMO.
I expect to see Earth Chips popping up in natural food stores, but they are already available from the Blue Mountain Organics online store – www.bluemountainorganics.com.
