Caribbean Cruise merges Health and Indulgence

To meet with the growing demand for fit vacations, a venue synonymous with over-eating and lounging is being transformed into a healthy paradise at sea.  The ‘Holistic Holiday at Sea IV: Voyage to Well-Being’ is scheduled to set sail on March 4, 2007 for a seven day cruise.  The event is cosponsored by a Taste of Health and the Vegetarian Times Magazine, and will feature over 25 prominent speakers and teachers, with more than 100 classes available for the mind, body, and appetite.  A small sampling of the keynote speakers includes:

Though a wide array of education will be available on board, the true indulgences of vacation will abound as well.  The traditional menus will be coupled with non-dairy and vegan delicacies designed by Mark Hanna, an internationally known natural food chef.  In addition, numerous healthy activities will be coupled with a spa, Olympia gym, three swimming pools, a casino, a disco, and more.  For a taste of dry land, the ship will dock at several ports including San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; La Romana, Dominican Republic; and Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Prices begin at $1,175 per person double occupancy, with most food, classes, and activities included. For information or to purchase tickets, visit the Taste of Health website.
