Back in May we announced that a fabulous food blogging mom won the FAANtastic Divvies Cookie Contest. Divvies planned to feature her winning cookie recipe as a part of their product line beginning in Q4 of 2010. Well, it looks like they are ahead of schedule, because the Choco-lot Brownie Cookies have already arrived and are available to purchase directly from the Divvies website. A portion of the proceeds from this cookie will be donated to FAAN (the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network), hence the “FAANtastic” name of the contest.
Libby created the Double Chocolate Brownie Bites (her original name for the cookies) for her son, who has multiple food allergies. I am sure she never expected that her homemade cookies would be shared with thousands of people across the country via Divvies. Like all of Libby’s recipes (and all of Divvies products), the cookies are dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free. You can see more of her wonderful kid-friendly creations on her blog, The Allergic Kid and in Smart School Time Recipes, a free eCookbook from the friends of Go Dairy Free.
As for Divvies, the chocolate love doesn’t stop there …
They have also just announced this year’s Halloween treats … to include ghoulish chocolate ghosts; packages of orange, purple and black jelly beans; and chocolate cupcakes (yes, they are shipped throughout the U.S.!) with festive orange frosting.
