You may still think of them as Nonuttin’, but Libre Naturals is even better. A new, fresh look and name, and a facility that is now free of the “top 11” allergens, including soy. These Libre Naturals Gluten-Free Oatmeal Cups were my samples since their big brand and facility upgrade.
Tasting Notes for Libre Naturals Gluten-Free Oatmeal Cups
Libre Naturals Gluten-Free Oatmeal Cups are made with the perfect blend of certified gluten-free whole oats and quick oats. I love the slightly heart yet comforting texture from blending these two “cuts” of oats together. I’ve been eating them this way at home for years!
The preparation is seamless. Just add hot water to the line, cover, wait 4 minutes, and devour. This may sound obvious and foolproof. But I’ve tried many instant “cup” natural foods over the years, and many just don’t work with the amount and time frame suggested. Libre Naturals Gluten-Free Oatmeal Cups were perfect as directed, producing a thick, hot and perfectly tender oatmeal for each of the flavors.
Blueberries, Apples & Sunflower Seeds
This combo intrigued me the most, so I reached for it the morning after trying the baseline Classic. It has loads of textural interest and tastes notably sweeter with chunks of apple (which impressively rehydrate), tangy whole blueberries, and generous amount of sunflower seeds.

The contrasting sweet and tart berries in this blend become so plump that a few actually burst!

Apples & Cinnamon
Despite the higher sugars, due to the good smattering of dried fruit, this is a surprisingly mellow blend with notes of tartness from the sizable apple pieces.

Perfect blend
Finally, a company that uses rolled oat and quick oats together! This is always how I’ve liked my oatmeal – it’s the perfect textural balance. They use just enough unrefined sweetener, and the “just add water” directions couldn’t be easier. Since cups aren’t really convenient for the type of travel we do, I might look into their bulk size and packaging it up.
