New Vegan Fruit and Nut Bar


Carson, Calif. – PR News – Mrs. May’s, a global all-natural snack food company today introduced its new Trio bar, a crunchy health bar made from nuts, seeds and natural fruits. The Trio bar will be available in four different fruit flavors and like all Mrs. May’s snacks, the bars are vegan, non-GMO, cholesterol free, dairy free, wheat free, certified gluten free, kosher and contain no artificial flavors and colors.

The bar is named Trio because each bar contains a combination of three nuts (almond, cashew and pistachio), three seeds (sesame, sunflower and pumpkin) and three fruits (dates, raisins and one-of-four fruit flavors including strawberry, cranberry, blueberry or tropical fruit) to create a healthy, crunchy and substantive snack.

“Mrs. May’s is best known for its all-natural healthy bite-sized fruit, seed and nut snacks and the Trio is a natural brand extension,” said Augustine Kim, CEO of Mrs. May’s. “The Trio bars are another way for busy

Mrs. May’s will introduce the Trio bars at the 9th Spring Fancy Food Show in Chicago, May 6-8, 2007 at McCormick Place. Mrs. May’s will be located at booth # 5425.

Mrs. May’s slow dry-roasted snacks are a consumer favorite. Their bite-sized snacks are currently available in three categories: nuts, seeds, and fruits totaling 12 different flavors. Nuts: Almond Crunch, Walnut
Crunch, Pecan Crunch, Peanut Crunch, Cashew Crunch, and Coconut & Almond Crunch; Fruit and Nut: Cran-Blueberry Crunch and Cran-Tropical Crunch; and Seeds: Sunflower Crunch, Pumpkin Crunch, Sesame Crunch and Black Sesame.

Mrs. May’s dry-roasted snacks are available in various sizes including: 2 oz, 5.5 oz, and bulk; also, 1.5 oz and 4.25 oz for select customers only; and 20 oz, 28 oz and 32 oz for club stores only. Tentatively, the Trio bar will be 1.7 ounces, and sold in boxes of 20 at a MSRP of around $1.29 each.
