Alisa Fleming ~ It's that time of year again, the kid are out of school, the sun is up well into the evening, and you're ready to get out your cooking utensils. So, warm up your mixer and preheat the oven, it's time for Pamela's 2011 Gluten-Free Recipe Contest!
This year's contest theme is "Convenience." Pamela's is challenging fans to create a Fast, Easy & Delicious recipe using one of their products. The winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to a kitchen supply store (Oh, tart pans and new waffle maker, here I come!), and their recipe will be featured and published by Pamela's.
Convenience might involve preparing a meal that can be frozen and reheated with ease, creating a grab-n-go snack, or throwing together an easy prep dessert in minutes. You can use any of the Pamela's products in the recipe, from their SimpleBite cookies to their easy mixes, but keep in mind that not all of the Pamela's Products are dairy-free. To keep your recipe gluten-free AND dairy-free stick to the following products:
Baking Mixes – Bread Mix, Chocolate Cake, Classic Vanilla Cake, Cornbread & Muffin, Dark Chocolate Frosting, Vanilla Frosting. The Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Chunk Cookie mixes are also free from dairy ingredients, but the chocolate chunks in these products may contain traces of dairy.
Simplebites Mini Cookies – Extreme Chocolate, Ginger Snaps. The Chocolate Chip Simplebites are also free from dairy ingredients, but the chocolate chips in these products may contain traces of dairy.
Cookies – Ginger with Sliced Almonds, Peanut Butter, Organic Spicy Ginger, Organic Old Fashioned Raisin Walnut. The Walnut Chocolate Chip, Chunky Chocolate Chip, Organic Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, and Organic Dark Chocolate – Chocolate Chunk Cookies are also free from dairy ingredients, but the chocolate chips/chunks in these products may contain traces of dairy.
The competition will run from June 1st through August 15th, 2011, and you can enter using the Pamela's online contest form.
