Reuben’s for the Gulf Coast Wildlife – Brought to you by Daiya Foods and The Chicago Diner

Organizations such as Gulf Coast Wildlife Rescue, International Bird Rescue, National wildlife Federation and Louisiana Wildlife Rehabilitators are working hard, but need all the help and resources we can provide. We’ve decided a Daiya product donation to The Chicago Diner would go along way!

Daiya Foods has joined forces with award winning Chicago Diner (3411 N Halsted, Chicago, IL, 60657) to benefit the rescue efforts mentioned above. $1 from every Radical Reuben sold from July 23rd 2010 to August 31st, 2010 will be donated to a cause dedicated to wildlife rescue in the Gulf.

The Chicago Diner’s Radical Reuben was voted best in the Midwest by Vegetarian Times readers poll and was featured on TLC’s new food Show the Best Foods Ever hosted by John Goodman. In the episode series called “Darn Good Diners” they showcased the magic as it happens in the making of this delicious specialty; The Radical Reuben!

The Radical Reuben is comprised of tender seitan roast beef (made special in house) with grilled pepper and onions, sauerkraut, Daiya cheese, and their homemade vegan dressing on a marble rye.

Not that you needed a reason to enjoy the Reuben before, but now you can delight your taste buds while supporting a great cause!
