TCBY Adds Vanilla Dairy-Free Frozen Yogurt Due to Chocolate Success

TCBY Vanilla Dairy-Free Frozen Yogurt - Joins ChocolateAfter we announced the launch of the nation’s first dairy-free frozen yogurt back in August, sales soared. Many of you raced to your local TCBY to get a taste of the chocolate almond goodness and show your support. Many shops enjoyed an 80% jump in overall sales and several locations actually sold out of the chocolate dairy-free frozen yogurt within one week! Stock was spotty for a while, after the inventories were licked up, but it looks like the creamy goodness is here to say. TCBY has doubled their offerings with a creamy vanilla dairy-free frozen yogurt!

For added appeal, both the chocolate and vanilla dairy-free frozen yogurt flavors are almond-based (soy-free), vegan, and gluten-free.

Though there are no guarantees on availability (flavors rotate regularly at TCBY and they have over 500 shops worldwide) most locations plan to have at least one dairy-free offering at all times, and select stores will provide both the chocolate and vanilla dairy-free frozen yogurt. Yes, the magical “swirl” flavor could be a dairy-free reality.

Curious about cross-contamination concerns, probiotics and topping options? See my prior post for answers to your dairy-free fro-yo questions. For ingredient listings, see the TCBY flavor pages for the Vanilla Almond and the Chocolate Almond.

TCBY began dishing up the new vanilla dairy-free frozen yogurt in January, and will continue to roll it out in the months ahead. We haven’t sampled the vanilla as of yet (see our thoughts on the chocolate flavor here), but our hopes are high and our taste buds are ready! If you trial it, please leave your review in the comments below.
