Vegan A La Mode: More than 100 Frozen Treats for Every Day of the Year

Baklava, Blueberry Muffin, Buttery Popcorn, French Toast, Tiramisu, White Chocolate … what do all of these foods have in common? They are all flavors in the amazing new ice cream recipe book, Vegan A La Mode by Hannah Kaminsky.

Vegan A La Mode Ice Cream RecipesReally, I don’t even need to review this un-cookbook. I could simply post up all of the recipe titles and 99% of you would probably buy it immediately! I only wish I’d had the chance to review Vegan A La Mode earlier in the summer, but as this ice cream book proves, ice cream is definitely a year ‘round dessert.

What’s Inside Vegan A La Mode

If you aren’t familiar with Hannah, and her blog Bittersweet, then I should forewarn that nothing she creates is ordinary. Vegan A La Mode isn’t simply filled with original vegan recipes, it’s got ice cream flavors that you won’t see in any other cookbook, vegan or not! And, the variety doesn’t stop there. Beyond the flavors, Hannah uses a range of different ice cream bases to create creamy textures, including nuts, rice, and coconut milk. Many of the recipes in this book are even made with simple, easy to find, non-dairy milk, so they are optionally soy-free and low fat, too!

Of course, Hannah takes gorgeous photos of every recipe, too. Here is a little teaser of what’s inside …

  1. I used to love coffee ice cream with Newman-o’s mixed in. I haven’t had it in a long time, but it was always a favorite of mine.

  2. I have always loved a rich, simple vanilla, but would choose cookie dough for a splurge. Oh sweet Ice cream…

  3. Just got a new ice cream maker — anxious to try it out. My most recent favorite is peach cobbler; although I never met an ice cream I didn’t love!

  4. Melinda Harris on

I Love vanilla and chocolate chips or vanilla fudge swirl. :-). This cookbook looks awesome. I would LOVE to win it so I can make my kids icecream.
