No more Animal Products!


Genesis ~ My whole life I’ve had nothing but chronic stomachaches. It wasn’t until I was 18 yrs old that I realized that normal life did not include stomachaches after every meal.  I realized I was tired of trying different medications and different doctors because no one could ever figure out what was wrong with me. and they would just "disguise the pain" with different pills. I started having bone/ joint pains, to the point where i thought I had arthritis! I came to a low point where life was too painful to bear. I felt like taking medications was unnecessary. Our bodies are alive and absorb and digest everything we ingest. I didn’t want to pollute my body with toxins/ meds/ or anything not natural in any way …

I decided to go Vegan. It was hard to get used to at first just because our country is so resistant on this idea. It’s hard going out to dinner with your friends and when you try to order food they look at you like your probably anorexic and only have garden salads. I started visiting a lot of sites like this and buying different vegan cookbooks and all I can say is I AM A WHOLE NEW PERSON!!!

I never wake up bloated, and I haven’t had a stomachache in 2 years. I haven’t had a pimple since then as well. I lost all the extra pounds and have never felt better about myself. Being vegan has even changed my taste buds! I feel like every vegetable, fruit, legume, etc. has a whole new flavor, so deep and rich compared to when I use to eat animal products. I wake up completely energized. I never get bloated after any meals, and all my stomach /joint/ bone/ headache pains went away almost the next day!

Now I walk around and can’t believe that this is how it feels to be alive! To wake up light and energized, to feel like my body is pure and whole. I can honestly say this was the best thing I ever did for myself. We look to doctors for everything but don’t think about the fact that we are what we eat. To make a change in your body and mind, you have to change what you intake in your day and what you surround yourself with every day.

I hope I can help to inspire someone today. All you need is a strong support system to keep you motivated and healthy. Pain/ weight issues are so stressful but taking out things one at a time can make all the difference in the world versus never taking action at all.
