Abe’s Celebration Cakes are Frosted, Decorated, and Vegan-Friendly

Ever wish you could walk right into the grocery store and pick up a dairy-free cake without having to make a special order? Enter Abe’s Celebration Cakes. These vegan, two-layer cakes are also egg-free, nut-free, and soy-free, and come in three pre-frosted flavors – complete with sprinkles on top!

We like that each cake has straight-from-the-bakery appeal, but is six-inch in size, and perfect for smaller gatherings. If it’s just a party of one or two, you can freeze leftover slices of Abe’s Celebration Cakes, frosting and all.

Abe's Celebration Cakes Reviews and Information - dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free, and vegan-friendly! Two layer, ready-to-eat cakes are fully frosted and adorned with sprinkles. Vanilla, Chocolate, Carrot

Abe’s Celebration Cakes are Frosted, Decorated, and Vegan-Friendly

Make no mistake, these are straight-up desserts. Each tender cake is layered with dairy-free cream cheese-style frosting and adorned with allergy-friendly sprinkles. But Abe’s family simply couldn’t resist sneaking some sweet potatoes into the Chocolate Cake, packing carrots and applesauce into the Carrot Cake, and spiking all three with 25% of the RDA for calcium. Just a few more things to feel good about as you savor a sweet dairy-free slice.

    More Allergen Notes

The following information is provided by Abe’s manufacturer.

Our baking facility is an SQF “Comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Management System” (highest level) and free from peanuts, tree nuts and sesame. In order to maintain the highest food safety rating, our baking process is audited twice a year by a certified third-party.

Equipment: Abe’s vegan varieties NEVER touch production equipment that interact with dairy, eggs or soy. Also, at the end of each run, all tooling and equipment is dismantled and carefully washed before the next flavor goes into production.

Cleaning: Each morning, beginning production is dependent on all equipment passing an ATP swab test for germs and proteins found in food allergies. At the end of each shift, all equipment is dismantled, rinsed in 200°F water and then run through a wash cycle at 180°F using a special cleaning solution.

I bought the vanilla cake, frozen, for my husband’s birthday since I didn’t have time to drive to a vegan bakery. I wasn’t hoping for much, just hoping it wasn’t awful. Big surprise, it was amazing. Okay, so the appearance is never gonna rival the incredible vegan bakeries around here but the taste totally does! So glad I found this.

My family had so much fun trying these cakes. My kids were especially excited that they were only dairy free, not gluten free.
Obviously the chocolate cake was voted the favorite. Interestingly the carrot cake came in second place before the vanilla. Everyone enjoyed all three cakes, though. They are quite sweet and kid friendly. With their pretty sprinkles and simple flavors, I think they are perfect for children’s parties. It’s so exciting to be able to purchase dairy-free cakes at the store!
