Annie’s Organic Bunny Grahams are Dairy-Free, with Gluten-Free Options

By Alisa Fleming on February 14, 2019 Dairy-Free Cookie & Brownie Reviews, Dairy-Free Snack Reviews, Product Reviews

Kids and adults alike will love the traditional graham cracker taste of Annie’s Organic Bunny Grahams.  They’re made with simple, traditional ingredients, and without hydrogenated oils, milk ingredients, or other additives and preservatives.

The cute bunny shape of these graham cracker bites is also surprisingly practical.  Not only do kids get a kick out of them (okay, I was pretty excited about the bunnies too), but they are also in a crispy no mess size (unlike their large, rectangular, crumbly competitors). And they can easily be popped into a spice grinder, blender, or food processor to make quick crumbs for a pie crust or other dessert purpose.

Hopping into the Bunny Graham Details

It’s been over a decade since our original taste-testing of Annie’s Organic Bunny Grahams, so I’m withholding my tasting notes for now. But if you have tried them, please leave a comment with your likes, dislikes, and favorite flavors. It helps others. And I still have ingredients, allergen information, and more to share.

First, a couple facts about all of the flavors. They are actually a good source of calcium, with about 15% of the RDA per serving. At last check, all flavors were still made without milk (but see shared equipment note below). And they are a relatively low sugar treat, with about 6 to 9 grams of sugar in 31 little cookies. Below are the ingredients and allergen notes for each organic flavor.

    More Allergen Notes

Annie’s Homegrown elaborates on their allergen protocols and ‘may contain’ warnings with this statement:

Our manufacturing facilities have the highest standards of cleanliness and have documented and verified allergen handling policies. During production, we run our products in a particular order to reduce the risk of cross contamination, take the equipment apart and thoroughly clean it in between runs of product. We routinely test for the effectiveness of our allergen procedures. If an ingredient, equipment, or cleaning process poses any risk of cross contamination, we use a “May Contain” or “Made on Shared Equipment” statement to alert you of potential cross contamination allergen.

We decided to sample the whole range of flavors when my nieces were visiting. Everyone – adults too – really enjoyed them. They have perfectly sweet, somewhat nostalgic flavors.
