Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Now in 11 Plant-Based Flavors

By Alisa Fleming on June 6, 2020 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

For years I was frustrated by Arctic Zero. Their core line was lactose-free, but not dairy-free. Yet it always sat right in the middle of the dairy-free ice cream section in stores. And several “journalist” websites incorrectly included it in their dairy-free round-ups. But they’ve finally earned the right to grace those non-dairy collections. Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert is a full line of plant-based, dairy-free ice cream that stays true to their low-sugar, low calorie promise. And it’s actually available to order on Amazon!

Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (New!) - All the Details (Ingredients, Availability & More) on this Plant-Based, Low-Calorie, Low-Sugar, Low-Fat Ice Cream

Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Now in 11 Plant-Based Flavors

June 2020 Update – Arctic Zero has added two new pint flavors to their low calorie line: Classic Vanilla and Pistachio. The Vanilla is boasted as simple, smooth, and rich, while the Pistachio is a blend of pixtachio and amaretto flavor. The company’s CEO Jason Paine says the brand has its eyes focused on getting back to its roots.

There has been a lot of disruption in the better-for-you category leaving consumers overwhelmed. The launch of these two new flavors show our fans that we are listening and will continue to focus on being the lowest calorie, plant based frozen dessert available.

Arctic Zero Dairy-Free Ice Cream in Two New Flavors: Classic Vanilla and Pistachio.

Arctic Zero is Still Low Calorie and Pint-Worthy, But Now Non-Dairy

The ice creams in the Arctic Zero Non-Dairy range are made with a base of faba bean protein instead of milk and cream. And I was told that these are actually replacing their lactose free line!

… our lactose-free product line will be transitioning to our non-dairy product line, and we will no longer be producing lactose-free pints or bars. Grocery stores that currently carry our lactose-free product line will be transitioning to our non-dairy product line when the lactose free pints are out of stock, so keep an eye out for them! Eventually you will no longer see our old packaging at stores.

Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (New!) - All the Details (Ingredients, Availability & More) on this Plant-Based, Low-Calorie, Low-Sugar, Low-Fat Ice Cream

Arctic Zero Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Flavors

The non-dairy flavors are sweetened with organic cane sugar and monk fruit, and contain no sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners. If you decide to down the whole pint, it will only knock you back somewhere between 160 to 320 calories. A single serving contains just 70 to 90 calories and 1.5 grams of fat or less. And you can now choose between eleven flavors. Be sure to leave your rating and review below if you try any of them!

Better than Halo Top and Wink. This absolutely satisfies. Microwaving for 30 seconds is a must to create smooth creamy texture

    Only certain flavors

    Rated 4 out of 5
    June 9, 2019

Being vegan I was excited that these ice creams went dairy free, I tried the cake batter and caramel flavor and when slightly melted they were delicious. I once though did try the cookie dough and the actual dough tasted chalky and unappetizing. Only particular flavors are good and I appreciate that a lot of them are 160 cal or less

    Change in Formula

    Rated 1 out of 5
    May 27, 2019

I used to have a pint every day. Now that the formula has changed, there is less protein, more calories, and less of a variety of flavors. I miss Orange Dream and Poppin Pomegranate the most. Cappuccino was good too. I was willing to pay more because of the 150 calories. If I wanted more calories and less protein- I may as well eat regular ice cream for a fraction of the cost- Arctic Zero price went up even more if you order online. They have actually instead of improving it and updating the packaging- they have discontinued the Arctic Zero that their loyal customers fell in love with. This is an entirely new product. More like trying to copy off of Halo Top. Shame.

I think I must have eaten through all the inventory at publix and wallmart in south Florida. No one seems to carry it any more for the last 2 months or so. Only halo top. What gives? I made a request at my local publix but still nothing.

    Response from Go Dairy Free

I believe Arctic Zero is transitioning completely to dairy-free, so their inventory might have a lag in it. This happens sometimes with product changes.

Taste like the recipe has changed

The new recipe does not have the milk whey and it makes a huge difference. It is not creamy anymore…more like a slushy that was made in blender.

    Finally

I tried the Cookie Shake flavor and I thought it was creamy and delicious. Finally a frozen dessert that was dairy free, gluten free and low in calories. I only wish that the Brownie Blast and Cookie Dough Chunk flavors were gluten free as well!

Okay for the low calorie options

    Rated 3 out of 5
    March 16, 2019

I taste tested several of the low calorie pints, and almost none were great. But this one was better than Halo Top’s non-dairy. I tried the chocolate, and liked that it wasn’t gritty like Halo Top, and the flavor wasn’t bad, but the flavor was still a little on the artificially sweetened side, and of course it wasn’t as creamy as the more indulgent brands.

    Hi,

Kiran here with www.easyrealfood.com … I was just at Expo West and had a chance to try it for the first time and I am impressed!! I only tried the chocolate flavor but it was very creamy, chocolatey and a nice texture. I’m lactose intolerant so I am excited to have a solid option out there!
