Avocadomilk Gets the Green Light for Shipping in the U.S.

Avocadomilk isn’t new … in New Zealand. But it has just landed in the United States, and before that, in the United Kingdom. It isn’t purely avocado either. It’s blended with oat milk for a more drinkable consistency, and sweetened with a touch of honey. Consequently, the taste is a bit more like oat milk with avocado, but that could be a boon for oat milk fans. And yes, the Original flavor is lightly green in color, but the Cacao has a more chocolaty hue.

Avocadomilk Reviews and Info - now available in the US, UK, and New Zealand. Dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free, coconut-free.

Avocadomilk Gets the Green Light for Shipping in the U.S.

Avocadomilk is available in large multi-serve bottles and generously-sized single-serve bottles (the latter contain 1 1/2 cups). And despite the streamlined look, it is shelf-stable, so you can store extra stock in the pantry. But once opened, you do have to refrigerate it. According to the founders of Avocadomilk, they use freeze-dried avocado, which keeps the drink from going bad quickly, and water lentil extract, which helps maintain the color.

    More Allergen Notes

I asked the company if they use certified gluten-free oats, and here is their response:

The oats we use are gluten free. But we don’t claim it as some of the markets we sell in have different regulations than the USA.

    Tastes like a bad avocado!

You know sometimes an avocado is overripe, or underripe (or godforbid both)? Well this tastes like that, just using any old avocado and we all know that a few bad ones ruin the batch, making it bitter with a weird aftertaste. Its stomachable but I would never drink it on purpose!!

Its alright , taste like green tea and blended grass. Really overpowers if you use it in something else like cereal. So only really ok drinking it by itself. Overall not bad.

How can they do this to avocados?

The avocado taste was funky. It is like a brown stringy avocado and not a fresh creamy one. I had such high hopes but avocado milk has become a yard stick for foul taste in my house

    Sadly, it's a no go...

I drink all kinds of alternative milks–and love all I’ve had (oat, almond, cashew, coconut, hemp, pea), and I also love avocado shakes, but both the cacao and plain taste too strong to me. It overpowers my acai bowls, shakes, and the cocoa I made was undrinkable. There’s an aftertaste as well, which is disappointing because I truly wanted to love this. I gave it 2 stars just because it’s smooth textured, and the color is enticing.

This isn’t something that most people would chug down, although I do! It’s something you’d make a smoothie out of and I cook with it, I’ve made sauces, bread, sorbet, just about anything that normally required dairy milk. It works like a charm!
