By Alisa Fleming on January 6, 2022 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

Updated in 2022! Back in 2016, Ben & Jerry’s launched their first four non-dairy flavors. By 2019, they were fielding a full team of eleven dairy-free ice cream flavors. Today, Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy is churning out TWENTY THREE flavors (21 in pints, 1 in mini cups only, and 1 exclusive to their Scoop Shops). Each time one retires, a few more pop up to take it’s place. And this year’s vegan additions are quite special, since they’re CORE flavors! Ben & Jerry’s has added dairy-free Bananas Foster and Boom Chocolatta, and each pint is filled with sweet surprises. See below for all the information you need, followed by unbiased reviews!

Ben & Jerry's Non-Dairy Ice Cream: Grab a Spoon, There are 23 Flavors! - Get all the information you need, plus unbiased reviews. Includes ingredients, certifications (which ones are gluten-free?!), and more pertinent details for their vegan, dairy-free line up.

Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Ice Cream: Now in These 23 Flavors!

If you’re looking for a functional frozen treat that you can justify for breakfast, move on. But if you’re looking for straight up dessert that will make you forget about dairy, then you’re in the right place. Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert is sweet (sometimes VERY sweet) and over-the-top decadent.

Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Ice Cream isn’t the creamiest on the market, but it’s pretty darn indulgent. And all of the delicious add-ins can make it a satisfying experience. But you be the judge! Leave your own rating and review below once you’ve tried any of the following flavors.

A Note on Pucker Up (which is NOT dairy-free)

Ben & Jerry’s has a pint flavor called Pucker Up that looks like a sorbet. It’s made with Lemonade and Raspberry Sorbet, so you might think it is dairy-free. But they add sugar bits that are coated with dairy to this flavor. According to Ben & Jerry’s, they do not call this flavor a sorbet, but rather state that it is “made with sorbet” since it does contain dairy.

It's really sweet, but the PB & Cookies is good

I really liked the PB & Cookies, which is full flavored, but it is a bit too sweet at times. Just a scoop was enough. I’ve tried samples of the Coconut Seven Layer Bar and Caramel Almond Brittle at one of their scoop shops, and neither wowed me enough to pay for a scoop. They were sweet, but seemed to lack decadence. But I’m still curious about the other flavors.

Ben & Jerry’s knows how to make a satisfying dairy-free “ice cream”. I’ve tried many flavors and they all hit the mark. It tastes like the real thing. Don’t feel denied in any way. Love this product.

    Almost nailed it.

Well…got really excited because it is so hard to find really good ice cream that is dairy free! But, then I looked at your ingredients. Coconut is a high allergen, and since I have two children who are not only lactose intolerant, they are also highly allergic to coconut…I guess the search continues.

I had only 10 days in the States, so I got a pint each of Cherry Garcia, Fudge Brownie, and Peanut Butter & Cookies. They were all so good, Peanut Butter and Cookies being my favorite, with Fudge brownie a close second. Wish they had this in Japan!

I’ve always loved Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, but since having dietary restrictions I’m unable to have!! These are great flavors especially coconut. Is it possible to have these same flavors but without the soy and gluten?

    Response from Go Dairy Free

Hi Jalena, that would be nice to see! Right now they seem to be targeting just dairy-free and vegan with the ingredients. Have you tried some of the So Delicious line yet? They are great with gluten and soy-free.

My daughter and I love the dairy-free Ben and Jerry’s ice creams. Unlike many dairy-free frozen desserts, these have the right amount of salt and are full of flavor.
So far Caramel Almond Brittle and PB and Cookies are our top two favorites, but I can’t wait to try the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!
