It's hard to beat the convenience of these well-distributed, fruit-focused beverages. They're relatively thin, drinkable smoothies that are ripe with fruit flavors. We've enjoyed all that we've sampled, with Mo' Beta topping the list. But, it would be great to see them come out with more innovative dairy-free and vegan protein versions.

Though many of their protein drinks do contain dairy (aside from two soy-based ones), the entire product line of Odwalla Dairy Free Smoothies is pure and vegan.

Odwalla Dairy Free Smoothies and Protein Drinks (Review)

Normally, when I think of smoothies, I think of thick, spoonable, sweet delights that I whiz up in my blender with the base of a frozen banana. But smoothies do come in all flavors and textures, and can be refreshing fuel for those of us who don’t really care for straight juice. And although I’d never thought of purchasing a pre-packaged smoothie on-the-go, I’m a bit smitten with Odwalla Dairy Free Smoothies.

The flavors of Odwalla Dairy Free Smoothies have changed over the years, but one of my favorites has persisted. The Mo’ Beta is a fantastic drinkable blend with the sweetness of pureed peach and mango bursting through. It isn’t on the ingredient list, but the fruit combination has a tangerine-like appeal that both Tony and I loved.

Over the years, we’ve sampled several of the flavors since Odwalla Dairy Free Smoothies are relatively easy to find, even when traveling, and are a relatively affordable energizer. Mo’ Beta remains our favorite, but the Citrus C Monster and Red Rhapsody have also been repeat purchases.

In addition to these fruit smoothies, Odwalla offers a big range of protein drinks / smoothies, but most of them now contain dairy. Nonetheless, they do keep a couple of dairy-free, soy-based varieties in the mix.
