They have stopped making the Almond Milk versions of Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream. But they are still making Breyers Non-Dairy Oat Milk Ice Cream.
I like it when companies don’t mess around. Breyers doesn’t bother with little pints. They only sell their Non-Dairy Ice Cream in generously-sized, 1.5-quart tubs. That’s the equivalent of three pints, but it’s often sold for the same price as one pint of other dairy-free ice cream brands.
And there’s no reason to hunt around for the flavors. Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream is sold at mainstream grocers and it now comes in FOUR over-the-top varieties. Two of them have been available for quite some time. But this year, Breyers has added two more classics to their vegan selection: Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chocolate Chip.
Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream Goes Big with Four Classic Flavors
When Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream originally launched, it just slipped onto store shelves, with little fan fare. Despite it’s quiet entry, it’s become a leader in the dairy-free ice cream space. Which is probably why they’re making more noise with the new flavors.
All four varieties are made with a real almond milk based, and spiked with cozy, familiar add-ins. Be sure to leave your own unbiased rating and review below when you try any of these tubs!

Lactose-Free Flavors are Not Dairy-Free
We receive comments from readers stating that Breyers has dairy-free Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, too. Please note that the Chocolate and Vanilla are Lactose-Free, the are NOT Dairy-Free. They are still made with milk, cream, and whey (and contain casein), but have lactase enzyme added to “digest” the lactose (milk sugar) in the dairy. Those flavors may be suitable for people with lactose intolerance who do not avoid dairy for any other reasons. But they are not suitable for anyone who needs to be dairy-free.

Better than their oat milk one.
They don’t make the almond milk ice cream one anymore, they switched to oat milk and said because it’s more popular. The oat milk one taste like every other subpar vegan ice cream. It’s OK but I can do without it. The almond version IMO, was the best non-dairy ice cream on the market.
Response from Go Dairy Free
We’re also sad this line was discontinued.
We do have a post for their Oat Milk line, which is updated -> https://www.godairyfree.org/product-reviews/breyers-non-dairy-oat-milk-ice-cream
Non dairy mint chocolate chip
Recently purchased non dairy mint chocolate chip. Because of health issues I have to cut out dairy. It was delicious, just as good as full fat regular Breyers. I can’t wait to try all the other flavors.
Non dairy
I can only have your non dairy vanilla peanut butter swirl its great!!!! I’m gulten free and cannot have chocolate either. Why can’t you make plain vanilla? I have not found my flavor in weeks it’s never in stock at shop rite. Plain vanilla non dairy please new flavor it goes with everything!!!!!!!!!
Been waiting for ever for this to be on the market but not interested in all the chips and peanut butter looking for a plain vanilla
Been waiting for ever for this to be on the market but not interested in all the chips and peanut butter looking for a plain vanilla. When will we see a plain vanilla nondairy made with almond milk? Hate all the chips and peanut butter.
Breyers is the best.
The absolute best lactose free ice cream ever. Now if only DQ would serve a dairy free soft serve.
Satisfies cravings
The consistency is like a cross between ice milk and ice cream, which I liked. It was creamy, but cool and a little refreshing. I tried the cookies ‘n cream, and the cookie add-ins are generous. That said, the ice cream itself is sweet, but lacking some depth. Both my husband and I noticed the taste was a little flat at first, but in the end, it took care of our cravings.
Too much difference in flavors
I have used the Breyers Non-Dairy Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream without problems. When I have tried the other flavors, Breyers Non-Dairy Mint Chocolate Chip and Non-Dairy Vanilla Peanut Butter I have gas and intestinal problems. What ingredients could be causing that?
Now I can finally have a great tasting ice cream without stomach discomfort
I love ice cream, but it has always upset my stomach, even the Lactaid versions. This ice cream not only does not bother my stomach but tastes just like ice cream and has the same texture as ice cream. I love that it comes in a bigger container too because I have to eat some every day. Great flavors too!! Also it is being sold at Publix now which is the grocery store closest to me.
Tasted great, but still caused me discomfort and the runs in less than an hour
Creamy tasty satisfaction for lactose free, but then in less than an hour, don’t try to pass the gas, just run for the toilet!
Excellent flavors, great price for vegan ice cream
I have tried the mint chocolate chip, cookies & cream, and peanut butter flavors. All are absolutely fantastic!
My children love the Breyer’s non-dairy more than any other vegan ice cream we have tried over 10+ years of trying everything. I would recommend these 3 flavors without hesitation!! (And yes, the mint chocolate chip variety has way too few chocolate chips sadly!)
