I like it when companies don’t mess around. Breyers doesn’t bother with little pints. They only sell their Non-Dairy Ice Cream in generously-sized, 1.5-quart tubs. That’s the equivalent of three pints, but it’s often sold for the same price as one pint of other dairy-free ice cream brands.
And there’s no reason to hunt around for the flavors. Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream is sold at mainstream grocers and it now comes in FOUR over-the-top varieties. Two of them have been available for quite some time. But this year, Breyers has added two more classics to their vegan selection: Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chocolate Chip.
Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream Goes Big with Four Classic Flavors
When Breyers Non-Dairy Ice Cream originally launched, it just slipped onto store shelves, with little fan fare. Despite it’s quiet entry, it’s become a leader in the dairy-free ice cream space. Which is probably why they’re making more noise with the new flavors.
All four varieties are made with a real almond milk based, and spiked with cozy, familiar add-ins. Be sure to leave your own unbiased rating and review below when you try any of these tubs!

Lactose-Free Flavors are Not Dairy-Free
We receive comments from readers stating that Breyers has dairy-free Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, too. Please note that the Chocolate and Vanilla are Lactose-Free, the are NOT Dairy-Free. They are still made with milk, cream, and whey (and contain casein), but have lactase enzyme added to “digest” the lactose (milk sugar) in the dairy. Those flavors may be suitable for people with lactose intolerance who do not avoid dairy for any other reasons. But they are not suitable for anyone who needs to be dairy-free.

Tasted like ice cream to me!
I was hesitant to buy an almond milk product but I trusted buyers would give it their best. Was not disappointed. Other than to much sugar I like it
Don’t think I’ll buy almond milk Breyers again
I’d give it 2.5 stars, maybe. I really enjoy the Breyers lactose-free ice cream and was excited to see more flavor options with the almond milk varieties. The chocolate chocolate chip has a strong after taste and a grainy texture that I find unpleasant. I didn’t try the other flavors. Guess I’ll stick to their lactose-free in the future.
mint chip lacks flavor
could’ve done with a stronger mint flavor. it also tasted strangely of cheese which really disgusted me. it’s just quite bland. I’m not impressed. I’m glad it’s made out of almondmilk though!
Breyer's ice cream.
I have been eating Breyer’s dairy free ice cream for years. I think they should advertise more. I tell people about it and they are so happy to hear about it.
Cookies and cream
Love it.
It was okay
It was okay however you can really taste the substitution of whatever was used instead of milk. Ben & Jerrys, on the other hand, you can’t taste the substitution instead it taste like actual icecream and it didn’t upset my stomach. Please change the recipe to taste more like dairy icecream.
The Closest Thing to Real Ice-Cream
Breyers Non-Dairy Cookies and Cream is the closest thing I have tasted to real ice cream. I’ve tried Halo Top, Ben&Jerry’s, Häagen-Dazs, and Parvelicious, but all have had either powdery textures or that nutty aftertaste that just reminds you that it isn’t ice cream. This has neither of those issues, and is also perfect for milkshakes with just a touch of almond milk.
Affordable and yummy!
This is a favorite in my house. It is affordable and tastes great.
Very Tasty
Great creamy taste without the high cost like others.
Favorite dairy free ice cream.
This is our 15 year daughter’s favorite ice cream. She is allergic to dairy and always has a carton in the freezer. So thankful for this product. Very reasonable too!
