The humble avocado has so many delicious uses, including frozen dessert. In 2016, Cado Avocado Ice Cream launched there first pints, all dairy-free and vegan. Skeptics emerged, but I had a feeling this fledgling brand would take hold. I’ve used avocados in some of my dairy-free dessert recipes, including ice cream, so I knew just how delicious it could be.
Here we are, just three years later, and Cado Avocado Ice Cream can now be found in numerous grocers, including Target and Walmart stores. If you’re lucky, you can find all seven of the flavors, including new Cherry Amaretto and Java Chip.

No dairy side effects
The deep dark chocolate is fantastic, the rest is very good but the chocolate is the best. Just wish it was easier to find. I call before I go shopping for your ice cream and take a ice chest.
Incredible Avocado!
Creamy, not too filling. Balanced but rich flavor.
Delicious creamy extraordinary vegan ice cream
My husband and I were very surprised to notice how extremely creamy and delicious the sea salt caramel ice cream is!
The only problem for me as I do not like chocolate and four of the seven flavors are chocolate but I’m very grateful for the sea salt caramel and lemon they are fabulous!
The only problem is so many stores only carry flavors with chocolate and the vanilla.
For the love of Pete! --- I mean Cado 🙂
I have Celiac and a dairy allergy….I can not say enough about this product! You make me feel “normal and human” again with such tight restrictions on my diet. Please don’t stop your wonderful gift. THANK YOU!
delicious
I give them only a 3 for 2 reasons…. 1 because there’s too much sugar in there and they could definitely back off on that, there’s no need for that much. 2…It also makes no sense to me to have all those organic ingredients except for 1 avocado oil. If they don’t change their recipe I hope another company comes out with this as good but all organic and way less sugar!!!
Creamy Vanilla flavor but stomach rejected
Not sure why, but within 5 minutes of finishing about 3oz of the creamy yummy vanilla, my stomach started to cramp and I have no idea what is in this that would cause such a strong reaction. Will try again tomorrow to see if this is related
Yum! Need bigger container!
Just tried Simply. Lemon & pleasantly surprised! Taste buds happy with the purchase however, not the $6 price tag. Love that it’s made with avocado puree and healthier, easy to digest ice cream option !
Amazing and Creamy
Just tried the dark chocolate, and was pleased with the taste and texture. Very creamy compared to other vegan frozen deserts. Others I have tried are too icy. Going to try all the flavors next. Excellent!
Yum! Really!!!
Husband & I tried 2 of the Cado ice cream. His: Simply Lemon. Hers: Mint Chocolate Chip. Yum!!! Seriously! We then consumed more of the latter. This product is awesome.
Best. Option By Far
Taste and texture is unsurpassed in this type of product. I am so glad I found it.

Cado is available at The Fresh Market!
The closest place is CT and i live in RI. i called every WFoods and noone sells it here in RI. How can I get RI to sell it at WF?
You can ask your local Whole Foods to order it in. Most will accommodate this. I’m not affiliated with the brand, so you might want to reach out to them directly for additional help -> http://cadoicecream.com/
I am an American who lives in Kuwait and was I surprised to see your plant derived ice cream in the store freezer of the Sultan Centre Grocery in Salmiya. I bought a pint of the mint chocolate chip and love it! So delicious, rich and smooth yet doesn’t make you feel full and heavy after eating it. Going to try the deep dark chocolate next. I am hooked. You need to market this in the Columbus and Cleveland Ohio areas, especially on all of the Big Ten University Campuses. Why not develop more flavors and then open ice cream shop franchises. So much more healthy than fattening Baskin Robbins, jenny’s, Pinkberry, etc. The Gulf States of the Middle East where diabetes and obesity are major issues, something like CADO Organic plant based ice cream would be a huge hit in the region. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in having me promote a product that is so unique, progressive and yummy across the Middle East!
So thank you for creating Cado, the avocado tree loves you for it!
