In late 2019, America’s number one selling Greek yogurt brand launched their first “milk” line, and it was dairy free! It’s been so successful, that they’ve continued to expand their line of Chobani Oat Milk. At the end of last year, they released their first “zero sugar” oat milk, and this year they crafted a vanilla version. But the holidays deserve a little indulgence, don’t you think? So this season, Chobani has launched Oat Nog. We have details on all current flavors of Chobani Oat Milk below.
Chobani Oat Milk is Now Pouring in Zero Sugar, Extra Creamy, Nog, and More
With the exception of the new Zero Sugar, Chobani Oat Milk Drinks use organic, gluten-free, Non-GMO, sun-dried oats from the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada. Chobani mills these oats in a centuries-old style, but uses modern techniques to create a creamy, fluid finish.

Isn’t the Plain “Zero Sugar” Too?
According to a ruling against the manufacturer Oatly, when an enzymatic process is used to make oatmilk, it breaks down the oat starch into simple sugars, and effectively creates sugars that must be claimed as “added sugars.” Chobani mills old-style, but they also use an enzymatic process to break down the oats. This is why their Plain flavors are effectively free of sugar ingredients, but they have a high “added sugars” claim on the nutrition facts. But, they’ve reportedly “tweaked” the process so they could create oatmilk with no sugars at all. But please note that their newer “zero sugar” variety is not made with organic oats.
Vitamin D Note
Although vitamin D is not specifically listed in their ingredients, it appears to be in their “nutrient extract blend.” The company states that the “Vitamin D is sourced from fruit and vegetables,” so it is vegan-friendly.

Tastes like if dairy milk was oat flavored.
I tried the plain original and it tastes extremely similar to dairy milk to me. It’s like cow’s milk with a slightly oat-y aftertaste. As someone who has mostly drank soy milk all my life it’s a little too rich for me, and I can really only handle it drinking it plain, so I probably won’t be buying it regularly. But if you are looking for a dairy substitute that tastes very similar this seems like great choice. I’ve tried Chobani, Planet Oat, and Trader Joe’s oat milks, and Chobani is the only one that I’ve actually been able to finish, and the only one that tasted at all comparable to cow’s milk. It’s also around a dollar cheaper than a lot of other brands.
Excellent product
I love oats. This oat milk is creamy and holds together great. I like that there are digital coupons for the plain oatmilk. Thanks for explaining why it has “added sugars” produced from the oat itself. Tastes great too, you don’t want a whacky flavor.
Favorite oat milk + chocolate milk. I highly recommend it!
I recently developed a severe intolerance to dairy in the past two years, so much so that I can be in pain for hours after consuming any. I’ve gone on a huge journey trying to find the best alternatives, and I can easily say Chobani has been my absolute favorite.
1. Their Chocolate oat milk is heavenly, and constantly sold out at my corner market. All of my friends that drink oat milk have agreed with me that this is the real deal, and one of our favorite chocolate drinks. Even my boyfriend, who isn’t a fan of sweets, can’t get enough of the chocolate variety of this drink. Make hot cocoa with it, add it to coffee, milkshakes, whatever you want; it won’t let you down.
2. I’ve tried Happy Planet (which I love), Planet Oat, Oatly, Forager, and more. I’ve tried various almond milks as well, from MANY different brands but there is just something so great about oat milk. Specifically this one though!
I prefer to use the Plain Extra Creamy version, especially for cooking. It’s thick (not in a gross way I promise), it tastes just like regular milk to me (coming from someone that used to obsess over dairy growing up), and my local grocery store usually sells them at 2 for $5, which I think is a great deal. I’ve tried the Plain as well, and loved it, I’ll usually pick it up if it is in stock at my store.
Highly recommend Chobani’s oat milk, and I hope they continue to produce this quality of a drink into the future!
Best imitator so far
I love milk but wanted a healthier alternative and Chobani has won me over, feeling lucky..
I haven't tried Zero Sugar Plain, but Chobani Plain Extra Creamy Oatmilk is magnificent
I use Chobani Plain Extra Creamy Oatmilk in my coffee.
Excellent
Doesn’t compare to Oatly
Creaminess is a 5 but the taste is a 2. Very strange taste that I can’t quite describe. Will not buy again unfortunately.
Taste great!!!
Had the Plain and flavor taste great not too watery and not too thick.
Best non dairy for coffee
I’ve been struggling a lot to find a non dairy milk for my coffee and the chobani oat original is by far the best I’ve had in years. It froths and there is no distinctive taste to it.
Plain extra creamy is whole milk in disguise
No lie, this is the best oat milk ever because it tastes just like whole milk. It has a great feel and taste that don’t upset your stomach. In shock at this oat milk because I’ve tried so many others and they all tasted odd, I miss drinking milk and this is basically it!
Brilliant
It’s creamy and light if it’s the plain oat milk, and smooth in consistency as well. It has a wonderful ingredient list and is definitely worth the price in my opinion. It’s my personal favorite oat milk that I’ve tried so far and it has brought me back into buying milk at all in the first place. Very happy I came across it.
