    Clif Crunch Granola Bars (DISCONTINUED)

    0
By Alisa Fleming on September 14, 2011 Discontinued Products, Product Reviews

Clif Bar is still around, but they no longer make Clif Crunch Granola Bars. You can still buy Classic Clif Bars, or choose another brand from our Dairy-Free Bar Reviews.

Clif Crunch Granola Bars (Review) - dairy-free flavors like white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate peanut butter! Sold 2 per pack.Clif Bar sent me a beautiful variety package of Clif Crunch Granola bars out of the blue. Unfortunately, I wasn’t going to be able to sample them in a timely manner. So I sent the gift to my bar-loving friend, Lori to get her review.

Similar to their regular Clif Bars, the Clif Crunch Bars are made from rolled oats and whole grains. Although, they’re lighter than the average Clif Bar and have a pleasant crunch!

Tasting Notes for Clif Crunch Bars

One of the varieties I initially trialled has been discontinued, but here are my notes on the variety that still stands…

    Chocolate Peanut Butter

The Chocolate Peanut Butter variety was definitely good. But really, who doesn’t love chocolate, peanut butter and granola?

Clif Crunch Granola Bars (Review) - dairy-free flavors like white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate peanut butter! Sold 2 per pack.I thought the flavor was creamy, slightly sweet, and salted perfectly. And I detected just a touch of bitterness from the dark chocolate. As the name implies, the texture is crunchy, but also a tad crumbly. They reminded me of Nature Valley Bars, only better.

Based on this one flavor, I think Clif Crunch Granola Bars are not only a good snack, but could also be quite versatile. They would be excellent crumbled over coconut milk ice cream, atop a smoothie or smoothie bowl, or over dairy-free yogurt and fresh fruit.

If you were ever a fan of Nature Valley Bars, then these crunchy planks should be in your arsenal. They’re also sold two-per-pack, but all varieties are dairy-free and they boast some more interesting flavors. We gave the Chocolate Peanut Butter two thumbs up, but did find it a bit crumbly to handle at times.
