Coffee Mate Plant Based Creamer FAQs

I’m sure some of you have a few questions about this product – I did. So I’ve preemptively addressed a couple primary concerns.

Is Coffee Mate Plant Based Creamer Truly Dairy Free?

When creamer companies use vague marketing words like “plant based,” limiting labels like “lactose free,” and misunderstood terms like “non dairy,” it always makes us a little concerned. Particularly since this company makes non-dairy creamers that contain milk. But Coffee mate Plant Based Creamer is dairy-free by ingredients. There is no casein (milk protein) or other milk-derived ingredients in it.

How is Coffee Mate Plant Based Creamer Different from Natural Bliss Creamer?

It’s mostly marketing. The Coffee Mate line and the Natural Bliss line tend to have different audiences. But the ingredients and nutrition facts are very similar. Both are quite sweet and do contain pea protein, cane sugar, and thickeners in similar amounts. The Coffee Mate line is made with both almond and oat milks, while the Natural Bliss line is broken out into almond milk and oat milk varieties, separately. Coffee Mate Plant Based is enriched with vegetable oil, while Natural Bliss uses coconut oil. Finally, Natural Bliss Oat Milk flavors tend to be just a little more “natural” than any of the others, with a shorter ingredient list. But the Coffee Mate line is cheaper.

I buy these at Target every week. They have a great flavor, aren’t too sweet, and the consistency is perfect. And they’re a great price for a vegan creamer. I’m a happy customer!
