Coffee So Good: Creamy Cold Brew Cashew Coffees (DISCONTINUED)

It looks like Coffee So Good is no longer in production. For more coffee drink options see our Dairy-Free Coffee Drink Round-Up and our Creamy Dairy-Free Beverage Reviews.

Coffee So Good is a great dairy-free pick me up! Not only does it have a nice dose of caffeine, but it’s also made with just a handful of simple plant-based ingredients – including raw cashews and love.

These decadent cold brews are packed with nutty protein and sweetened naturally with agave. They’re flavored with real ingredients like raw cacao, lavender buds, and vanilla bean powder. Not only does So Good put a focus on what goes into their drinks, but also what their drinks go into. Their bottles are made with less plastic than average, are sourced locally, and made from recycled plastic.

Tasting Notes for Coffee So Good

I had the chance to sample three of the five varieties they offer. All quite similar in taste with subtle nuances hinting at their unique flavors. Something they all did have in common was a bit of nutty pulp grittiness. Nearing the end of my first bottle, I got a mouthful of it. I figured I hadn’t shaken it quite enough, but knowing this and giving the next an extra good shake – the bottom still left me with a mouthful of pulp. It wasn’t the most pleasant.

    Lavender Nutte

This flavor had me really excited! So excited that I broke into it nearly immediately. My first thought was how rich and creamy it was. The coffee flavor was quite light and the lavender even lighter. I couldn’t really detect any lavender, but when compared to the Cashew Coffee I was reminded of some subtle floral notes. Overall, it has a lightness to it, while still being rich and a very pleasant flavor.

    Cashew Mocha

Made with raw cacao, this variety was much sweeter and had a deeper flavor. Although I’m not sure I’d guess it was mocha. It has the same rich creaminess, but definitely has a more decadent taste. It reminded me of coffee ice cream, so I’m a fan. I feel like this one would be really nice warmed up too.

    Cashew Coffee

The lightest in taste of the bunch. It tastes like thick, luscious cashew milk spiked with a touch of coffee. It has a subtle sweetness. I actually loved this one as creamer in my coffee.

    What Others Are Saying ...

    Rich, ultra creamy, and decadent

These chilled caffeinated beverages are made with just a handful of simple ingredients like raw cashews, cold pressed coffee, agave, and all natural flavor add-ins. All of the varieties I sampled were rich, ultra creamy, and tasted decadent. The Mocha didn’t quite hit the chocolate craving, but had deep flavor and reminded me of coffee ice cream that won me over. I would have loved a touch more of floral notes from the Lavender. Cashew Coffee was light, luscious, and made an excellent creamer. What threw me off was the nut pulp left at the bottom of the bottle. Otherwise, all of these coffee drinks were pleasant sips.

I’ve never been a fan of coffee (the smell makes me sick) but I think it’s genius to use cashews for something like this as they’d make it so nice and creamy!
