Coolhaus Dairy Free Ice Cream to Stay Despite Urgent Buy Out

    0
By Alisa Fleming on December 19, 2021 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

Coolhaus started as a mobile ice cream truck in 2009. Their original line was completely dairy-based, but they later added a full selection of Coolhaus dairy free ice cream and ice cream sammies. And now they’re entering a new era, which might cause some confusion.

Coolhaus has been purchased by The Urgent Co., a subsidiary of Perfect Day. The new owners will be transitioning their entire product line to be “plant-based,” but that doesn’t mean dairy-free. The dairy-based flavors will move to Perfect Day’s genetically engineered dairy, which isn’t milk-free, but might have labels like “animal-free,” “vegan,” or “plant-based.”

Fortunately, The Urgent Co. says they will be preserving the Coolhaus Dairy Free Ice Cream line. Just be sure not to confuse it with their new “animal-free” dairy ice cream. The dairy-free line also has a new look, as shown in the photos below.

Not Girl Scout Cookie Mint flavor but spearmint, Yuck!

We couldn’t rate because we did not like spearmint, but could not submit review with a no star rating.

Might be ok if you like spearmint ice cream.

I used to be addicted to Nestle Toll house IceCream Sandwiches with the chocolate chip cookies, and now that I have gone vegan, I wanted something that could rival that particular snack and I found it. I began to look if other retailers sold the coolhaus dessert sandwich but I guess I can only go to WholeFoods Market to get it. Thats ok. Loving this snack. An icecream lovers dream. ( To Me at least).
