Millions of people are on the hunt for their holy grail of healthy dairy-free yogurt, and Daiya Coconut Cream Yogurt Alternative is vying for consideration. Daiya’s initial dairy-free yogurt line didn’t quite make the consumer cut, but they’ve completely reformulated for taste and nutrition. They added coconut cream for a better consistency, upped the natural ingredients, and reduced the sugar.
“Consumers are making more mindful choices when it comes to food and we know that sugar reduction is a top priority for them,” said Michael Lynch, Interim CEO at Daiya, in a statement. So they reformulated their yogurt to contain 50 percent less sugar than the average vegan yogurt. Each single-serve contains just 3 to 9 grams of sugars. And they are sweetened solely with cane sugar – no alternative sweeteners added!
Daiya Coconut Cream Yogurt Alternatives Make Nutrition a Priority
We got the chance to try Daiya Duets when they were first released, which combine their coconut cream yogurt with crunchy granola. Those flavors are just a little different than this core line of coconut cream yogurt, but they use the same ingredients and base. And we were were impressed with the pleasing taste and creamy yogurt consistency. We will update with our own rating and review when we try these specific flavors. And you can leave your own rating and review below to help others too!

the best vegan yogurt i’ve ever tasted!
i’ve been vegan for a few months now and it was hard to find a good vegan alternative because all the almond ones i tasted sucked and then i found daiya and i was pretty impressed. p.s. i recommend the peach flavor 🙂
Flavourful bites of real wild blueberries
This is my favourite non-dairy yogurt alternative. Love the rich flavours and consistency. Give it a good stir and it’s thick & creamy. The blueberry is my favourite flavour. Plus i can tell that it uses the tiny real wild blueberries, which have more flavour than the large cultivated berries you can buy in stores when in season.
Disgusting
I thought I would try this and I really never take time to review anything. But YUCK. Tastes like playdough. Never again!!!
Excellent, delicious yogurt for those that don't want dairy.....
….or are on the mission to ban animal products.
Fantastic!! go Daiya go!!
Yuck
I used to love this yogurt but the switch to the coconut cream leaves what feels like a film in my mouth. The aftertaste that is left is horrible. The flavours are now so bland, and colouring is not the best, texture is like a soft tofu/jelly. I tied the black cherry, peach and blueberry and found same results on all 3. Will not buy again.
Heartburn - not good!
I still trying to figure out what is causing my heartbeat and bloated, dairy/cheese it the main issue, I tried these vegan coconut blueberry and now I’m burpy with horrible heartburn. But when I eat almond milk yogurt I don’t get that! Sorry, have to give it a 1. The taste was very solid.
Gross gelatinous “yogurt”
Tried the black cherry today in Canada. Out of all the vegan yogurts I’ve tried this Is the worst. It’s like jello. Not creamy just gelatinous you could cut it.
New yet delicious yogurt texture
This is one of the best yogurts I have ever eaten. Since I had to go dairy-free due to high food sensitivities to dairy, this yogurt nicely surprised me. The high content of fibre helps me manage my digestive system with ease. The thickness makes me feel full for the whole morning. So far, I prefer the clean one as I can can add any fruit or additional protein to it for great breakfast. Surely will stick with this one.
Canadian Daiya Yogurt!
These little babies are available in Canada!!
I have only seen Blueberry, Peach, and Cherry in the individual cups. I haven’t seen them in any container bigger.
Cherry is by far the best after a very good stir 🙂
They are sold at Superstore and Sobey’s Grocery stores for sure.
I really enjoy them. Tangy and thick, but expensive. Definitely a treat for me, or a go to camping breakfast.
Negative
I’m breastfeeding and having to cut dairy out of my diet because my LO has a dairy sensitivity ! But this yogurt alternative didn’t impress actually it had an odd taste close to play doh. I got the black cherry and won’t be buying it again!!! There’s better dairy alternative yogurts out there!
