Daiya Dairy-Free Ice Cream is the Latest in Pint-Sized Frozen Desserts

    0
By Alisa Fleming on July 2, 2020 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews, Product Reviews

Call it frozen dessert, or simply call it pints, like Daiya does. But for familiarity sake, we’ll call it Daiya Dairy-Free Ice Cream. After all, it’s a rich, creamy blend that’s churned and chilled for a very cool treat.

This is another product that is sneaking onto store shelves with nary a peep from the company. Perhaps they’ll announce it in a week, or a month, or maybe never. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Look for it at small local markets and large grocers – it’s seems to be popping up sporadically.

Daiya Dairy-Free Ice Cream is the Latest in Pint-Sized Frozen Desserts

The initial launch of Daiya Dairy-Free Ice Cream includes three decadent flavors, each made with luxurious coconut cream. If you like Daiya Frozen Dessert Bars, then I’m betting you’ll love these …

    Classic Vanilla Creme

If you prefer the simple things in life, then this vanilla coconut ice cream is a good place to start. It’s their baseline flavor.

Pictured: Classic Vanilla CremeIngredients: water, coconut cream, coconut oil, cane sugar, tapioca syrup, chicory root fiber, fava bean protein, tamarind seed gum, vegan natural flavors, sea salt, locust bean gum, fruit and/or vegetable juice color, vanilla extract. Contains: coconut.*

Nutrition (per 2/3 cup): 250 calories, 16g fat, 25g carbs, 3g fiber, 17g sugars (includes 16g added sugar), 1g protein.*

    Triple Fudge Chunk

Technically, this is a quadruple chocolate creation. It’s chocolate coconut ice cream spiked with dairy-free chocolate chips, fudge chunks, and a fudge swirl. I felt a sugar rush just thinking about this!

    Salted Caramel Chip

This flavor reminds me of a Baskin Robbins creation – only dairy-free. Daiya’s dairy-free coconut ice cream is swirled with caramel, sprinkled with sea salt, and dotted with dairy-free chocolate chips.
