Sadly, Daiya has discontinued all of their frozen desserts, including their chocolate covered ice cream bars. But even though you can’t get Daiya Frozen Dessert Bars, there are still quite a few brands of Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars to choose from.
My first taste of Daiya Frozen Dessert Bars was actually at a trade show, and it was quite an experience. The bars hadn’t yet gone to production, so their staff hand dipped every bar in chocolate the night before. We tried the Classic Vanilla Bean, and it exceeded expectations. It was definitely coconut, but the vanilla shined through, and it was a true dessert experience.
These dairy-free, allergy-friendly ice cream bars are now in full production, with four flavors to choose from. And we have every lick of the details in this post!

Fudging Awesome
Wow! I tried the Chocolate Fudge Crunch and was seriously impressed. Very rich chocolate flavor all throughout, and that crisp, crunchy chocolate shell is a treat all by itself. Way better than your average ice cream novelty on a stick, dairy-free or not.
Great for coconut fans
These are really tasty! I tried the vanilla and liked it. Great crispy chocolate shell. I do like coconut, but am getting just a little tired with the coconut flavor. It seems like coconut is in everything dairy-free! That’s the only reason I took off a star. Would love more vanilla than coconut. Even so, I’m eager to try the other flavors.
