I know what many of you are thinking – you’ve already tried Daiya Dairy Free Frozen Pizzas. But these are different. Although they look similar, Daiya Vegetable Crust Frozen Pizzas have a uniquely appealing gluten-free crust and some more dairy-free cheeses tossed into the mix.
Daiya Vegetable Crust Frozen Pizzas are a New Plant-Based Convenience
Each gluten-free vegetable crust is subtly infused with cauliflower, sweet potato, and spinach. It bakes up crispy, lightly crunchy, and quite flavorful. The crust is covered with Daiya’s “authentic tomato sauce,” which is made simply with tomatoes, olive oil, herbs, and spices. And each pizza is generously sprinkled with Daiya dairy-free mozzarella, parmesan, and/or feta alternative. Yes, plant-based parmesan and feta!
Italian Herbs & Cheeze-Style
This is Daiya’s version of pizza margherita … without dairy cheese or a wheat crust. It’s topped with their mozzarella-style and Parmesan-style cutting board shreds, feta-style crumbles, and Italian herbs.

Pizza
Dairy free? Gluten free? Meat free? What were you thinking? This was the worst thing that has ever entered my mouth. I would rather eat food that I found on the street, tossed in a trash can, picked out and put back in my mouth than this so called pizza ever again. It was a disgrace to the name pizza. Who enjoys eating melted play dough? Not me. 😡
Depends on the style
I bought a couple of Daiya pizzas on sale to give them a try. The first one I baked was one of the vegetable crust types (can’t remember which), It was terrible. The crust was mealy, and tasteless. The vegetables had no spice. Bad experience. A week or so later I decided to bake the other pizza – a meatless pepperoni style. The difference was day and night. No cardboard crust; it was crispy and tasty. And the toppings were genuinely flavorful.
Mediterranean pizza was the best
Crunchy, tasty crust with lots of flavors and melty cheese made me want to go buy another one.
Pizzas in a pinch
Pizzas are ok in a pinch or when the need comes up for a bite.
Unique, but we really enjoyed them!
These pizzas aren’t just like traditional, but we’ve become addicted to them as a quick, flavorful meal. The crust really crisps up to a crunchy texture and has a nice flavor – no “off” tastes like a lot of gluten-free baked goods. The pepperoni is our favorite – those little slices are tasty and the pizza has a nice spice. The sauce is also wonderful. We do toss on more toppings when we have them on hand because these pizzas are heavy on dairy-free cheese. We like Daiya’s cutting board shreds in moderation, but they can overwhelm a bit. Again, these aren’t traditional cheese pizzas, but pretty darn good in their own right.
