Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars are Wise to the Low-Sugar Trend

By Alisa Fleming on April 24, 2019 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Novelty Reviews, Product Reviews

Enlightened is currently the fastest-growing brand in the better-for-you ice cream industry, and they are setting a new pace with an expanded dairy-free line. They’ve just launched Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars in five flavors.

These vegan frozen dessert bars are crafted using an almond milk base to recreate the same texture and flavor as their dairy-free ice cream pints. Consistent with the brand’s commitment to certain nutritional aspects, each bar flavor is 100 calories or fewer, vegan, and gluten-free.

But use caution when purchasing these frozen desserts. The packaging of the dairy-free bars looks a lot like their regular, dairy ice cream bars.

Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars Review and Information - ingredients, availability, nutrition facts, and more for these vegan, gluten-free, low calorie frozen dessert bars

Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars are Wise to the Low-Sugar Trend

Each fanciful flavor is low in sugars, light in fat, and spiked with a little boost of fiber. It’s functional food that aims to satisfy dessert lovers. Did they succeed? When you try them, be sure to leave your own rating and review below!

    Salted Caramel

Enlightened doubled down on a popular flavor, swirling this dairy-free salted caramel ice cream bar with a vegan caramel.

    Mint Chip

I think it was a smart move going with mint. The mint-chocolate combination usually works in alternative type ice cream products.

    Peanut Butter & Jelly

In this bar, sweet peanut butter ice cream is contrasted with a tart raspberry swirl.

    Allergen Note*

Their “may contain” statement only lists nuts and peanuts, but this product is certified kosher dairy. That means it’s probably made on shared equipment with dairy. Be sure to contact the company about their allergen processes if potential trace contamination with milk is a concern. Keep in mind that “may contain” statements are voluntary and unregulated.
