Ethereal Confections makes Artisan Vegan Chocolate Bars and Truffles

By Alisa Fleming on November 29, 2012 Dairy-Free Chocolate Reviews, Product Reviews

Ethereal Confections is a small dairy-free and gluten-free chocolatier that focuses on handmade chocolates and candies. They use organic and local ingredients whenever possible, and all of their chocolate treats are dairy-free and gluten-free. Most are vegan, too.

Tasting Notes for Ethereal Chocolate Confections

The range of chocolates from Ethereal Confections is actually quite expansive, with a little something for everyone. Our sampling was just a drop in the bucket, though a nice little selection that was definitely gourmet and of the highest quality. Every single item that we tried was wonderfully gift-worthy.

Blood Orange & Vanilla Meltaway Bar

I didn’t think it would be my cup of tea since chocolate and orange aren’t my favorite flavor pairing, but this isn’t your ordinary chocolate bar. This double-layer of delight was a little piece of heaven. The Meltaway Bar had a smooth, truffle-like feel with a flavor that couldn’t have been more seamless and pleasing. Everything about it – the look, the taste, the texture – was pure luxury.

    Gluten-Free Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

We adored these salty chocolate bites! Beyond the cuteness factor, the pretzels were enrobed in a creamy semi-sweet chocolate layer that was just the right thickness. The sprinkles make them fun and insanely gift-worthy. And yes, my salty chocolate-loving friends, they do use salted pretzels. Yum!

    Truffles

Finally, I have to give kudos to Ethereal Confections for their beautifully packaged, generously-sized, incredibly delicious Truffles. We had fun playing “guess the flavor,” but honestly, I can’t tell you which ones we liked most. They were all just so flavorful. Oh, and those rich, silky smooth middles – simply divine!

      Alisa,

Wow, this review of yours is awesome. Of course, I’m a serious chocolate fan and this is the time of year for gift giving and chocolate eating. I just checked out the website and plan to order a couple of boxes for gifts. Plus, being a chocolate and sea salt loving yogi, there is no way I can resist the “Salted Karma” truffles. That just might be on the menu for Christmas Eve dinner.

Thank you for tipping us off about Ethereal Confections!
