Favorite Day Oat Ice Cream Bars are Cool Vegan Finds at Target

Target has been gradually rolling out over 700 products under their Favorite Day label, but not everything is brand new. Their non-dairy frozen dessert pints, for example, just changed from the Archer Farms label to Favorite Day, with no other updates. Nonetheless, they do have a few fledgling dairy-free products, like these Favorite Day Oat Ice Cream Bars.

I picked up a box of the vanilla salted caramel and peanut butter flavors, and will leave my review below – where you can too! The forest fruit was completely out of stock – perhaps that review speaks for itself! But here is information on all three flavors.

The salted Carmel are my favorite! By far the best of the ice cream treats I’ve bought

Waxy chocolate coating on ice cream bars is weird.

Just tried some of Favorite Day’s chocolate coated ice cream bars. The chocolate coating on the ice cream bars is very odd, “chewy,” waxy, and worrisome, especially after reading what some Chinese-sourced “oil” products contain! Target does not give the “product of” location on their foods (where it is actually made!), so we have no idea where these ice cream bars are actually made and WHAT exactly is in them. 🙁

Quite Good - just a few little things to make them perfect

We tried the Vanilla Salted Caramel and the Peanut Butter. The outer chocolate on both flavors is positively delicious. But, they made it a little too firm, so it breaks off in big chunks very easily. Eat it over a napkin to catch all the goodness!

Both my husband and I quite liked the Vanilla one – it’s rich and had a very nice flavor. I loved the little bit of salted caramel, but it was just two short little drizzles and one of the bars my husband had didn’t have any caramel! Nonetheless, we would purchase that one again.

The Peanut Butter nailed the richness, and it was okay, but something didn’t wow about the flavor. I thought it tasted a little more like coffee ice cream than peanut butter, and I don’t like coffee. I think some people might really like this flavor, it just didn’t shout peanut butter to us.
