Forager Project Dairy-Free Ice Cream is Churning Out in 5 Organic Flavors (DISCONTINUED)

By Alisa Fleming on April 6, 2021 Discontinued Products, Product Reviews

Late last year, the company let us know that Forager Project Dairy-Free Ice Cream is being phased out. You might see it in stores for a little while, but it’s shelf life is expiring. For other options, see our Dairy-Free Ice Cream Reviews.

Updated July 2022! One of America’s favorite plant-based companies is rounding out their dairy alternative portfolio with a full line of organic frozen dessert pints. Forager Project Dairy-Free Ice Cream was created with decadence in mind, but it’s still crafted with simple, thoughtfully-sourced, vegan ingredients. And purists will like the classic flavor selection, which includes Vanilla Bean, Bittersweet Chocolate, Mint Chip, Cookies & Cream, and Salted Caramel.

    Vanilla Bean Frozen Dessert

I decided to try this dairy-free alternative to my former favorite vanilla ice cream, Haagen Dazs, which has undergone a recent disappointing recipe change. I have just finished my first few spoonfuls of Forager Vanilla Frozen Dessert and find that it leaves a slightly bitter and unpleasant aftertaste. I will salvage it by making ice cream floats!

    Cookies and cream

The cookies and cream is the only flavor I have tried, and it’s truly amazing. It’s by far my favorite dairy free ice cream so far, as it has zero of those weird aftertastes or flavors coming through that other vegan ice creams often have.
