Forager Queso Fresco makes us Say Olé to Dairy-Free Cheese

Forager Project has done it. They’ve launched a cultured dairy-free cheese alternative line, which includes a Mexican favorite. Forager Queso Fresco is the first vegan cheese of its kind, and it’s crafted with simple, organic ingredients using the company’s probiotic cashewmilk yogurt as the base. You can buy it in re-sealable bags of queso blanco crumbles and in ready-to-crumble blocks.

Forager Queso Fresco makes us Say Olé to Dairy-Free Cheese

According to the company, Forager Queso Fresco is perfect for balancing heat and bringing flavors together in dairy-free nachos, quesadillas, tacos, and enchiladas. Once you buy and try it, let us know if you agree – leave your own rating and review below!

How Long Does Forager Queso Fresco Keep?

Of course, you want to mind the expiry date. But according to Forager Project, once you’ve opened the cheese, you can store it sealed in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Dairy-free cheese alternatives don’t tend to freeze well, but in a pinch, you can freeze it.

Does Forager Offer Other Cheese Alternatives?

Because queso fresco is such a unique alternative, and it’s sold in crumbles and blocks, not shreds, we’ve given this vegan cheese it’s own review post. For details and reviews on Forager’s more classic cheese alternatives, see this post: Forager Vegan Cheese Reviews.

It’s so creamy and yummy. I also appreciate that it’s not full of junk ingredients that are not clean like other dairy free cheeses available.

I have tried MANY vegan cheese products over the years with not much success.
