As undergrads at University of Chicago, Erik Nadeau and Jessy Gartenstein were on a mission to find the best dairy-free, gluten-free ice cream. Now, at age 23 they are launching their own non-dairy ice cream product, Frönen!
When Jessy was 13, she was diagnosed with celiac disease and dairy sensitivity. Since then she has been on a mission to satisfy her sweet tooth without upsetting her stomach. But the ice cream alternatives she found were always packed with refined sugar, gums and artificial ingredients. So she teamed up with Erik to bring their creamy & dreamy nice cream creation to life.

Additional Allergen Notes*
According to the company, all of their products are manufactured on lines that process dairy and other tree nuts (besides coconut). Before and after each production run, the machinery is cleaned and then tested to ensure there is no allergen residue on it. After their ice cream is manufactured, it is also tested for allergens to ensure there is no cross contamination. That being said, they cannot guarantee there are no allergen particles in the air in the facility. If you are severely allergic, they recommend not eating their ice cream to be safe.
