Harmless Harvest Dairy-Free Yogurt Cracks into Real Coconuts

    0
By Alisa Fleming on January 18, 2020 Dairy-Free Yogurt Reviews, Product Reviews

We’re rounding out the day by adding Harmless Harvest Dairy-Free Yogurt to our dairy alternative review section. It’s the third product line of new releases from this conscious brand (we shared the launch of their Yogurt Drink and Protein & Coconut Beverages earlier).

Most coconut yogurt brands are made with pre-processed coconut milk, but Harmless Harvest goes straight to the source. For more than a decade, they’ve been purchasing Thai Young coconuts from farms in Thailand to make their coconut water. And now they’re scooping the meat from those same coconuts to make yogurt alternatives with the freshest and purest ingredients possible.

Harmless Harvest Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative Reviews & Information - Vegan, Soy-Free, and Made with Organic Thai Coconut Meat

Harmless Harvest Dairy-Free Yogurt Cracks into Real Coconuts

To keep it simple, they’re starting with four classic flavors, made with organic ingredients, and each stocked with seven probiotics. Harmless Harvest Dairy-Free Yogurt is cultured the traditional way for a consistency that is reportedly smooth and creamy without the need for gums and additives. But you be the judge! Leave your rating and review below if you’ve purchased and tried this vegan yogurt alternative.

The only vegan yogurt I love

    Rated 5 out of 5
    April 20, 2022

I used to make my own yogurt with coconut milk, and while it was delicious, it was also high in fat and calories. My cholesterol levels went WAY up. Using other plant milks for my yogurt was healthier but not as tasty to me. Harmless Harvest has the same delicious coconut flavor and creamy texture of my homemade coconut milk yogurt with few calories and fat, plus I no longer have to spend my time making yogurt. I would only make or buy a different yogurt for using in recipes where a coconut flavor wouldn’t work well.

    Not enough vanilla flavor

    Rated 4 out of 5
    June 16, 2021

I’ve only tried the Vanilla flavor, which to me, lacks vanilla! It’s okay, but pretty blase’ and a bit thin in texture. I appreciate the fact that it’s dairy-free, organic, and fair trade, but I’ve tried other vegan yogurts that have a better flavor.

    Too Sweet?

    Rated 4 out of 5
    January 18, 2021

I like the flavor! But- it’s way too sweet – much sweeter than it needs to be. I feel like it would be absolutely PERFECT if they eliminated the sugar… it has a really good, nutty flavor-
Harmless Harvest- if you are reading your reviews- Please make a plain with no sugar! It would be the best!

    Hmmm...

    Rated 5 out of 5
    January 9, 2021

I tried this today for the first time- the Plain flavor. I’m really trying to find an alternative to Lavva Original- which I’m addicted to and enjoy every morning with a banana. I love the pre and probiotics in Lavva. I enjoy Siggi’s Raspberry and Cinnamon – but they have a lot of added sugar and stuff, which I really try to avoid completely. Anyway- Harmless Harvest has some added sugar but less than Siggi’s. It tasted ok- but I’m not sure I enjoyed it enough to have it again. I’d much rather have another Lavva in the afternoon… or a Siggis. I’ll keep hunting… but it did not taste bad at all- it was very pleasant- just not what I’m looking for.
If anyone has a very clean recommendation, please share! I’m looking for an afternoon yogurt snack- to keep me away from nice cream until the evening. And I’m not a fan of Cocoyo- the fizzzzz is not appealing to me- but my husband loves it.

    Best coconut yogurt out there

    Rated 5 out of 5
    November 14, 2020

As an avid yogurt-consumer, I have tried my fair share of yogurts (both dairy and non-diary). I am often disappointed by the high sugar and fat content of non-dairy yogurts, and the texture is hit or miss. This is definitely NOT the case for Harmless harvest. It is fantastic. The plain is still a bit sweet (from the low amounts of added sugar and the fact that it’s coconut based), and the texture is thicker than regular yogurt or oat-yogurts. The low saturated fats level makes me feel confident about regularly consuming this yogurt. Stop reading and go out and have some!
