Honey Stinger Energy Chews are All About Performance

    0
By Alisa Fleming on September 29, 2014 Dairy-Free Sweet Treat Reviews, Product Reviews

I have a sweet tooth. So if someone says I can get energy from fruit chews, I’m all about it. And apparently, I’m not alone. Since Honey Stinger Energy Chews were launched, the line has expanded to include eight different flavors, plus a new line of Performance Chews.

Honey Stinger Energy Chews and Performance Chews Reviews and Info - sustainable carbs, electrolytes, and caffeinated options. All without dairy, gluten, eggs, nuts, or soy.

Honey Stinger Energy Chews are All About Performance

Honey Stinger Energy Chews are a natural and sustainable source of energy with a carbohydrate combination of glucose, fructose, maltose and sucrose. Their Performance Chews are boosted with white tea extract, caffeine that helps to sustain energy levels, and an extra dose of replenishing electrolytes.

Both product lines are made without any top allergens, and come in several flavors. We’ve tried a couple of the Energy Chew flavors. I’ve included our tasting notes on those below, followed by a list of the other flavors, and more information.

    Fruit Smoothie

Not really knowing what “fruit smoothie” should taste like in a chew, I would just describe this as a super-sweet, jolly rancher-like treat in a soft, chewy format with all natural ingredients. It’s spiked with honey and vitamin C, and has no artificial colors or flavors – bonus!

Honey Stinger Energy Chews and Performance Chews Reviews and Info - sustainable carbs, electrolytes, and caffeinated options. All without dairy, gluten, eggs, nuts, or soy.Ingredients: organic tapioca syrup, organic evaporated cane juice, organic grape juice concentrate, organic honey, pectin, citric acid, ascorbic acid, colors (black carrot juice concentrate (red), annatto (orange)), natural flavors, potassium citrate, organic sunflower oil, carnauba wax. contains 95% organic ingredients.

Nutrition (per 1.8-ounce packet): 160 calories, 0g fat, 39g carbs, 1g fiber, 29g sugars (includes 29g added sugars), 0g protein.*

    Caffeinated Cherry Cola

Unlike the other flavors of Honey Stinger energy chews that we trialed, this one isn’t certified organic, but it is made with 95% organic ingredients. It also has a bit of caffeine from white tea extract and has a fun, cola flavor.

Honey Stinger used to offer some “Kids Chews.” My photo below shows both the adult and kids chews together – the adult ones are the larger, rounder looking ones.

    Bursting with fruity flavor

The all-natural, quick energy ingredients in these single-serve treats help to justify them as a snack on active days. The chews are sweet, tender, chewy and bursting with fruity flavor. The waffles are a unique delight of thin, flaky, cookie-like sandwiches with a pure honey filling.
