Additional Allergen Notes*
I asked Hudsonville why wheat was listed under “may contain” but not milk or peanuts. They provided a very thorough explanation that the “may contain” is due to an ingredient with potential wheat cross contamination. They practice allergen safety for potential cross-contamination within their facility.:
Hudsonville Ice Cream takes great pride in its procedures to ensure quality and safety of every product. While the dairy-free product is made using the same equipment as flavors containing milk, egg, soy, wheat, peanut and tree nuts, there are procedures in place at their plant to prevent cross-contamination from these allergens internally.
That being said, there is a small chance the flavors may contain gluten as part of the oat powder. This is because wheat and oats are grown next to each other in the field (or one year a field will grow wheat and the next year oats) and/or are processed on the same equipment. This can lead to cross-contamination during the harvest process, which is why we note this product may contain gluten.
As a dairy-free consumer, keep in mind that almost all brands of dairy-free ice cream are made on shared equipment with dairy-based ice cream, even if there is no “may contain” statement. So the contentiousness and labeling of Hudsonville is standard in the industry.

Vegan
I have only had the mint fudge and cherry fudge, they were very good. I just cannot find it anymore.
Creamy and delicious
The Birthday Cake I tried had the texture of frozen whipped cream. It may be the best ice cream I’ve ever had, dairy or not. I had to keep myself from eating the entire pint in one sitting.
Rich and delicious
The birthday cake is good on the first bite but too much to keep on going putting it at the bottom of the list. Other flavors like peanut butter truffle and smores are too good to put down. My favorite part is the fact that it is indeed always creamy. No matter how long it has been in the freezer. Texture on point and flavor is poppin. Best vegan ice cream ive had.
Also i know its not good for me but i never have expected ice cream to be good for me. So its in character.
Chocolate is delicious...
…but the Birthday Cake flavor is just nasty (in my opinion). Insanely sweet and artificial vanilla flavor. Hard pass. The chocolate is delicious though, and I love that this ice cream stays soft unlike a lot of other brands.
Creamy excellent texture, too many additives
Cherry is very smooth and delicious. However, I’m disappointed that corn syrup is used for this flavor. I have not tried the mint chip, but upon reading the ingredients the mint chip contains wheat flour. Hopefully the recipes can be altered to have less additives.
tastes like ice cream
very creamy, tastes more like ice cream than all the other products.
Caramel cookie dough
Has a wonderful and sweet caramel taste with a little salty taste also. My main complaint is the fact that it’s called cookie dough, but there was literally only 4 pieces in the whole pint.
Love a good Birthday Cake!!!
This ice cream is so creamy and smooth. It’s rich and satisfies my sweet tooth! The absolute best ice cream I’ve had since becoming vegan!
Better than dairy ice cream
Tried most of the flavors. The S’mores is our favorite. Addictive. Definitely keeping it in the house.
Better than I expected!
I tried the Cherry Fudge. It was so creamy, much like real ice cream! I loved it and will definitely be trying other flavors!
