As of 2022, Icelandic Provisions Oatmilk Skyr is still a viable product, but the company is having production issues, and hasn’t been able to meet demand. See our Dairy-Free Yogurt Reviews for brands that are currently available.
Skyr (pronounced skeer) is a traditional Icelandic dairy product, made specifically with skyr cultures, to produce a food that’s like yogurt, but thicker and creamier. It also has a rich flavor that isn’t overtly sour or tart in taste, like yogurt. Icelandic Provisions is a modern day pioneer for skyr, and they’ve recently branched out into a dairy-free line. Icelandic Provisions Oatmilk Skyr is made with live and active heirloom skyr cultures, but unlike their other skyr products, it’s completely plant-based.

So delicious!
The texture and flavor of these oat milk Skyr products is very similar to yogurt made with cow’s milk. It is very satisfying and delicious without the high saturated fat content of coconut based yogurt alternatives. The vanilla and fruit flavors are not too sweet, which I prefer. The cold brew is also fun.; one of my faves. I just wish I could get these on a regular basis but Whole Foods almost never has them in stock..
The best vegan Joghurt
As a longtime vegan I tried every other brand.
This Icelandic Provisions
Oatmilk Skyr tastes so good, the texture is
amazing, all flavors are delicious and it’s very creamy.
I love all of them.
The price is more than faire. I wish I could order them online because Whole Foods doesn’t have them always.
I am addicted…
good find!
Found at local Whole Foods. Really liked it, but the store has had trouble receiving orders! It’s been a couple of weeks since they tried ordering it. I will keep trying. Especially enjoyed vanilla flavored.
Oatmilk Yogurt- Cold Brew coffee is amazing!
I just tried the oatmilk yogurt from this company and the flavor- coldbrew coffee is like a decadent dessert. Love the lower sugar content and high protein. Perfect consistency and flavor! Wow!
Best plant based yogurt!
This is by far the best non-dairy yogurt I’ve tasted. The texture is thick and creamy and it tastes just like yogurt – I double checked the container to make sure it wasn’t dairy!
Closest to ‘yogurt’- vanilla
Tastes almost exactly like regular Icelandic provisions skyr! Thick, creamy and no strange aftertaste!
Everything is great... but the taste...
I was pumped for this. Being dairy free, it’s incredibly hard to find a yogurt that isn’t packed full of sugar. Not to mention lacking in protein and good texture. This yogurt ticked ALL of my boxes, except for the taste. The plain yogurt is BITTER. I love plain yogurt. I prefer it over anything else. But literally nothing will cut the bitterness out of this. I’ve topped it with fruit, and granola and even blended it in a smoothie with tons of other ingredients that SHOULD cut the bitter and nothing does. They are so close to a perfect yogurt, but this is a no for me.
